6 YEARS 24/7 Operation and no it's not rust!
Ran this 24/7 for just over 6 years before the electronics failed just this morning, made a cup of coffee and filled the unit back up, came back for another cup and the lights were dead unfortunately. But just purchased another unit of a different model for more features. Loved this product and I love the rice cooker i have too. I see several people complaining about rust in their unit. It's not rust, it will wipe off or come off with citric acid cleaners. Its iron deposits from your water, it clearly states this in the manual, if it were rust it would have eaten away at the inner lining. It does not do that!

Wonderful, works easily and well, no major issues
Zojirushi, made in Japan, is trusted for good reason. Works wonderfully to boil and re-heat water that tastes fine. Cleans easily, looks good on my kitchen counter in muted black color. Doesn't take up much room yet holds 5 liters. Not cheap and price seems to keep rising. Only have had it for about 5 months so can't really comment on its historical longevity. Would highly recommend.

I expect great quality from Zojirushi and these live up to those expectations
We purchased this to replace an older smaller model that after a decade of constant daily use was really showing its age. This one hold more water than the older one, but it doesn't feel like it is taking up much more table space. The operation and buttons are pretty much the same as the older version and as easy to use. It is a perfect for convenient temperature-perfect water for tea and coffee with a foot print that fits in smaller kitchens or offices with limited counter space. Care an maintenance is easy and quality seems as good as the prior one we had, so I expect to get a good 10 years out of it.

Need hot water at all hours of the day?
I'm from an asian household and been genetically trained to always boil your drinking water (regardless if its filtered or not). That being said.... The other reasons why I must have always on 24/7 accessible boiling pipping hot water is - I drink lots of tea (yes another asian stereotype... sue me) - I am a huge consumer of ramen noodles and hate to wait for the kettle to boil out I owned my previous Zojirushi for over 8 years, and i replaced it for 1 reason. The interior of the kettle started to turn orange.. Not because it rusted, but because I stupidily put in UN Filtered water, and the water in my home obviously has a fair amount of metals in it :(. So new boiler and brita water only! Their rice cookers also are the bomb but you've gotta love rice as much as I do to pay the $$ for one of their rice cookers :)

Great pot
I have been using this pot for a couple months now and I love it. I have made tea to freeze dried soup in minutes. Love it but it would get more use with more people. I have started using it with a thermos and pressing the timer for when the thermos is due to be empty.

Well-designed hot water dispenser
Zojirushi products are usually well-designed, sturdy and high quality. This hot water dispenser is being used by a meditation center, on the tea table, and we've been using these Zojirushi hot water dispensers since 2007. They are given heavy use, and after 4-5 years, one of them stopped working; for another, the electrical cord, which affixes to the unit with a magnetic rather than a plug-in attachment, tended to fall off the unit -- but again, this was after extensive heavy usage. The unit is safe, and I believe it will turn itself off if left plugged in and the water evaporates, so there is no fire danger. The opening at the top where you pour water in is large, so it's easy to fill the dispenser. Some people will stand and press the "dispense" button and wonder why nothing is happening; we posted a sign saying you have to first press the "unlock" button, then press "dispense." This is a child-proof feature that, as a mother, I appreciate, but that is somewhat counterintuitive for many people until they learn what "unlock" means.

Great broiler
Great quality product. Will get this brand in the future if needed. Love the 5L capacity so we don't need to refill it as often.

Good product but kind of expensive
I like it because it's very quiet that I couldn't tell if the water is boiled

Zoji does it again
I've had two different Zoji boilers now and they are simply the best. When company comes over they always comment on it. I don't really notice much difference with this "Commercial" model other than more capacity and power cord is universal, so easier to replace. I just love the self clean feature, which is on all modern zoji models. My others are 5+ years and still going strong, I have no doubt this will last that long and then some.

Matches description, only took 1 star for ease to clean due to calcium buildup.
Item does what description said. Only took 1 star for ease of use because of calcium. I already knew about this issue when buying so we use brita filtered water and reduce time boiling and maintaining temp of water to hours needed. This seem to help reduce calcium.
