For the price, you can’t go wrong.

Have been reading previous reviews of this luggage and am puzzled by the negative remarks. We bought 2 complete sets and used all but the largest cases for our trip to Europe this month ( October 2019 ). The handling included a total of 4 connecting flights and 5 hotels with coach drivers and porters doing all transfers of the luggage between the hotels. A couple of instances required our dragging them up/down stairs when porter’s weren’t available. They were packed full, but not so much as to require sitting on them to get zipped. Upon returning home and unpacking, we wiped them down with a damp cloth and they look as good as the large cases that were not used. No failure of wheels or zippers. A side handle would be nice. Would buy them again if these eventually wear out. But that seems unlikely for awhile.

Second purchase was a waste

We had purchased the brown set and then this second grey/orange was the only available. The first set we got was and still is the BEST ever. However after ONE trip with the new grey/orange set, we lost wheels, the pull out stand for support, the actual FRAME BROKE on the large one and only had 25 pounds in the bag and all the little "rockland" logo pins on the front came off. I loved my first set but for $170 plus tax I am extremely disappointed as I had recommended this brand so much to friends and family for use. I will not buy again.

Super price for great looking luggage

Recieved the luggage very quickly (thanks I'm sure to my Amazon Prime account) and was immediately happy with the look and quality. Have checked the larger bags on several international flights and have been pleasantly surprised at how durable they are, (no damage yet)! The bags really look great, and though they are what we would consider a soft sided luggage, they have formed features that give them a very classy look. The only downsides I can report are that the front pockets are not more easily accessed, (I use the front pocket on the carry-on as an organizer/wallet and sometimes find they are not as convenient as some). Also, wish the bags had swiveling wheels so they could be pushed in the upright position, rather than tilted and pulled, (but I knew this when I bought the bags so it is only a recommendation for the manufacturer if they ever read these reviews). Compared to what is available at the big box discount stores they are really a great value. Any bag that can go from the USA to China, Korea, Thailand and back repeatedly without falling apart is a testiment to their durability; that they have made these trips multiple times without sacrifice to the looks of the luggage is worth a 5 star endorsement, (that from a picky guy who easily finds fault with the small stuff).

Overall: good looks, poor quality... you get what you pay for.

I bought the set for a trip overseas in late 2014 and was disappointed that the wheels were bowing under the weight of the large suit case (and it wasn't even packed to capacity). This review is being written a year after I've last used the set primarily because the quality of the set has deterred me from using it again. I didn't even think to write a review until I came across the set again when looking to purchase something different for my next trip. The smallest size is sooo small, maybe an overnight bag if you wear small clothes... The next smallest size is slightly larger than the dimensions for the overhead bins on any of the airlines that I've flown since. Disappointing. UPDATE - 6 years after purchasing the luggage I can report that it has held up to the wear and tear of travel, however, the sizes are weird (as stated earlier) and the bags are so heavy you can't really pack them to capacity and still meet the 50 lb checked bag requirement. Our latest trip we had to check 2 of these bags for a week trip to make sure we didn't hit the "overweight" markers when we brought home souvenirs. We're finally selling this set and upgrading to lighter bags so we don't have to worry that the bags themselves are adding unnecessary weight to our trip.

Good set of luggage for a great price

I purchased this set of luggage in July for my annual trip to San Diego Comic Con. I travel for work and my previous set of luggage died. My wife and I were able to pack all the clothes we needed for the two of us in the next to largest size case. We checked the largest bag empty so that we could ship back toys and swag we picked up at SDCC. I've also used this luggage on a few trips since and it has worked like a charm. Pros: Good looking and easy to spot coming off the conveyor. Not your standard black/red/dark blue cases. Large wheels roll smoothly. Semi-regid shell with expandable zipper. Fairly lightweight and smooth action on the handle. Cons: Durability? It's an affordable set so I don't expect it to last forever. None of my zippers or seems have ripped so far but I could see that possibly being an issue down the road. For the price of one "high end" piece of luggage you can have this entire, great looking set. I recommend it highly.

Very nice set for the money, probably will be back for another....

We were kind of intrigued by the description of this set as shown. We had been looking for a set for my sons birthday. He is employed by an airline and is privy to inexpensive flights from time to time, so why not look good. Upon viewing and reading other reviews decided to purchase this set, not cheap and not over the top. Well, when he opened the box (we did not open or inspect upon arrival) we were all very pleased with the this set of luggage, very well constructed, nice heavy fabric but yet still light-weight. The molded sides seem tough enough he says (baggage handler!), wheels are molded in and protected from side impacts, nice. Here is a bonus that we did not see in the description these cases are expandable........now the wife wants them for her next shopping expedition......she did mention her birthday is coming!

Las maletas son padrísimas y de muy buen material tanto la tela como las ruedas, el color me gusto mucho, la verdad vienen muy amplias y el precio fue buenísimo ya que por lo que compré las 4 normalmente solo comprarías 1... la grande si es muy muy grande y la pequeña está súper bien para un pequeño viaje... las recomiendo mucho

Luggages

This set is probably one of the best purchases of my lifetime. We bought them as we thought they look nice and "different". When picking up your luggage in an airport your luggage stands out and the easiest to spot. Anyways, apart from this feature, they are sturdy, decently sized, and very great value. I would buy this set a million times again! Highly recommend.

Speedy delivery

Item came earlier than expected.upon closer inspection I found the largest of the luggage set had a rip on the upper right hand side of the zipper stitching about 3 to 4 inches in length. perhaps caused by forcing the wheel of the smaller one inside it. since I'm not vacationing until early august i wont know how these will stand up to the lugging around, Until then i can't give an accurate review.
