Trash, but good value

This thing is a piece of trash, but you don't get much for $60 these days. Four stars because it's a decent value. The trigger safety spring is too tight, the plunger feels like it's full of bubble gum, and the bearings feel like they're full of oatmeal. Will see how it holds up, but for the price I wasn't expecting much. If you want a real tool, spend $700 and get a Dynabrade.

Collet is hard to work with.

The collet is hard to tighten and loosen. Tool came with two stubby cheap tools for the collet. It would have been better if there was a button to prevent rotation like on some routers and dremel tools, thus eliminating one of the wrenches. 50 page safety book in 25 languages. No valve to adjust air flow/speed.

Awesome size, awesome performance - only taking off one star because I had to take off the bottom hex fitting and put some sealant tape and thread locker on it and put it back together, cuz it leaked rather badly out of the box. No biggy really, but putting it in a vice with some rags to get the stupid fitting off was more of a pita than it really should have been, since the flat spot on the handle isn't really sufficient to do that with. Also, the speed adjustment doesn't make much sense. The screw either has it at high or low, there's no in between, and I'm not even sure at this point how far in or out the screw actually is, it doesn't really stop in either direction. Not very straight forward at all. To be fair, the high and low settings are pretty much what you would need, but I wish this could go a LITTLE slower, like 20% slower at the slowest setting. Still holds up to the ones my friends have that they paid double/triple for, so it's a great bargain, probably the best you will find on an air die grinder. Awesome for porting heads with. Can't comment on air requirements, I have a giant 60g air compressor pumping 90psi into it with no problems. After ~2 minutes straight of grinding at full, the compressor will kick on for like a minute and fill back up, whatever that tells ya.

beautiful unit

Good straight die grinder for the price tag. Gets the job done. Pros: - Comfortable grip, also absorbs the cold air from the tool - Great for cutting wheels with having a long handle vs other smaller straight grinders - Plenty of power compared to other die grinders I've tried Cons: - The safety latch on the trigger is too long compared to something more premium from snap on - A little bit noisier than a smaller die grinder - Build quality isn't the greatest.
