Good starter kit

I bought this for my daughter after she had tried a leather project at a school activity. She is 11 and loved it.

Decent kit.

This is a good kit for starting leather work. The main issue that came up is that the wooden mallet that comes with the kit is very soft wood and when using the stamps included the stamps make dents in the mallet and make stamping difficult . Would be more stars if the mallet was better designed.

Missing and incorrect items

Has clearly been opened, handled, and then taped shut. Missing numerous pieces and includes extra items (no key ring, used leather conditioner rather than stain, soft black sponges rather than the ones pictured) that aren’t listed or pictured to be included. Bookmark is bent. Disappointing given the cost.

Nice Kit

This was a kit for my son-in-law for Christmas. I was talking a chance he'd like it. And he did! I think that adults need fun things sometimes, along with practical. Christmas and birthdays are a good time to do that. It seems this kit gets a person started with basic projects, and teaches the basic skills needed. Feel there, a person could add on tools and other hobby items, as their skill grows. So, if you're on the fence to buy as a gift, I'd say go for it. If the giftee likes hands on projects and such, I'm sure they would like this.
