Maaterlock combination padlock

I bought this specifically to use with my 16ft trailer. This 2 1/4 lock fits my coupler great. The combination is super easy to set. The lock looks very durable. I'm expecting the lock to last a long time. I now have one less key to keep up with. That makes me very happy.

A bit hard to read. Don't get 'em wet!

Can be hard to read in low light. Water can cause the lock to be hard to open/close and combo hard to operate. I bought 10. About 3/10 were hard to operate after being in the rain for a couple weeks.

Excellent Replacement

This is a replacement for a similar lock that lasted over 20 years. It is exactly as advertised and is used outside in a gate latch.

Pretty solid but kind of hard to read

The lock is decent enough, but the black numerals on the gold dials are pretty small. Put it this way, I have 20/30 vision uncorrected, and I have to wear glasses to read it.

Cant find at our local stores anymore & so much easier than keys when you have multiple people needing access

NOT ALL LETTERS ON EACH WHEEL

I should have thought more about it but I was under the impression that ALL letters were available on each wheel. They could have made this clear in the write up. Only had this a short time so no idea how it will hold up in the weather ... which is where it will be. For now works okay.

I hate these locks, not user friendly at all, but there's no other comparable locks.

I hate these locks, but they're the only ones with a long shackle, and that have a self setting combination. However, actually owning and using these locks is terrible, you have to perfectly line up the dials although they turn on you without notice, depending on the pressure on the shackle you can sometimes turn the combination dials and sometimes you cant. They locks do freeze up so on occasion you need to oil them up to keep them working. The above lock finally had to be cut off my gate because it seized up early int he morning and decided not to function. Trying to read these tiny little numbers after they have worn out in the night is a mess, trying to open and sometimes even just lock these locks becomes a task because they wont shut unless the combination is set.

No more keys

This lock was just what I needed for the roll up door on the garage. Long enough shackle to slip through door track and block the roller from getting by. Will be purchasing a few more of these for other areas, and the best part is no keys to lose or having to double back for.
