Nice Design, Not-So-Good on Arrival

The cupola was ordered primarily to make a functional but attractive ventilation cover for a garden shed. The design is charming and vinyl construction offers long-term maintenance-free endurance for a rooftop installation. The shipment arrived in a timely, though not very speedy, manner with the shipping box in good shape -- no visible issues. Unpacking the components, however, revealed the base section -- the part which will straddle the peak of the roof -- was broken at two corners. I made a complaint to the seller and their representative said they would send a replacement. The copper roof also had issues: corner trim pieces did not lie flush with the cupola roof in several places, and several nails were not completely driven in -- shoddy for a small item at this price point. I let that ride. The replacement base finally arrived and the shipping box appeared in fine shape; there was plenty of packing material inside. The replacement base was 1/2-inch out of square; the construction is stapled and cemented/fused together so there's no flexibility -- forcing it into square would likely break the corners in just the same way as I received the original. I was able to install the unit on my shed and because it cannot be seen close up, it looks okay. But I won't be purchasing from this seller again.

apparently not sturdy enough because it was cracked through and through, near the seams.

I gave this a good review but I SHOUKD mention the base was broken in two places. The person who installed it, glued it and added extra screws. The box it name in was not damaged. I opted not to return it but have it repaired, accepting it as good enough. I do feel it only fair to have some money credited back for it being damaged. I habe not yet asked for some credit and am hoping for such. Also the pre-drilled holes did not line up between attaching the middle, louvered section, and the base. So we had to readjust the holes, etc.

we were impressed with packaging. It arrived in perfect condition, wrapped well with no loose parts. No dents in the real copper top. No broken slats in top. Fitting on your roof pitch/angles is on you which was no problem for us. I HAVE LOTS OF PICS TO SHOW YOU!

Very nice 18”x22” cupola, installation took a couple hrs. Would have given 5 stars if the cupola had predrilled holes as described in product details from the manufacturer. Note that stock photo on this listing is not of the 18" x 22" model but of a larger one.
