Not for longevity

I teach aquatics courses and love boating. If you need a cheap bag that will work for teaching classes or a throw bag that will work for a week canoe or kayak trip for kids, this is a great fit. If you need it for beach lifeguard, fire/rescue, or pool lifeguard I don't recommend this. The rope is fine and seems quality enough. The bag is cheap nylon and the sun or chloramines will degrade it too quickly.

Failed stiching

Bought three of these for my kayak company for training swimmer rescues ( person from shore throws to swimmer, and pulled in). Used for a year about 6 times each. Stiching holding the drawstring failed in all three bags. They need a better design. Currently single stich holds the drawstring in place. Could be either double stich or a reinforced opening for the neck of the bag.

As expected.

Its cheap,, which is nice, but with cheapness comes some quality concerns. I have no doubt that this will do the job if you are floating down a mid flow river. That said the rope is pretty thin, the whole thing retains water like crazy once wet, and the rope started to have a very small fray in one spot. To be completely fair we used the rope on a tie off for at a damn, which the experience should not have been to damaging to the rope, it was used in an unintended way. Overall I give it 3 stars, and would likely buy it again because of the price, but that said if I were going down a serious river, rather than mostly flat water, I would likely want something a bit more beefy.

Good Bag at this price point.

Awesome price. I got this for 12.99 and they are typically 20 bucks at Wal-Mart. Definitely will come in handy if I ever have to rescue on the river.

Required for kayaking…reasonably priced.

Never needed to use it all summer. Just have it with me every time I went out in the kayak as per regulation. It was fairly reasonable in pricing compared to other product options and don’t think top of the line is required for this product. It’s rope in a bag that comes out when you throw it.
