It’s just ok

I wanted to like this but it’s just not quite right. I like the no touch but I’m skeptical of the accuracy of the readings. If I take my daughter’s temperature and then take mine immediately after they always come up as the same reading. If I clear it in between by taking the temperature of something wildly different like the air or the sleeve of my shirt and then take my forehead temperature, it shows a different reading than my daughter’s that I believe is more accurate. Overall I’m not impressed and will be getting something else to ensure accuracy of the readings.

Outstanding thermometer

I ordered HoMedics Non-Contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer. It gives quick, accurate results (unlike my oldl-school glass thermometer with mercury...and why did I wait so long to switch). I tried another digital thermometer that worked OK but I could never find the appropriate batteries. This model uses AAA batteries (which you can find just about everywhere). I liked it so much, I recommended it to the others in my family.

FINALLY! It works!

We have gone through a number of contactless thermometers that are not reliable. You know, you take the temperature 3 times and get 3 different readings. This one is consistent! Our local school district uses this model in their schools, which is why we gave it a try. I am very happy we did.

Does the job and a bit more

Taking your temperature is a pretty easy task. A few different techniques and devices. I chose this one because it is non contact, has the color coded readout, uses AAA batteries. (No button battery to replace.) Bonus is ability to read temp of other things, like food/bottle temp.

So easy to use!

Spouse and I had COVID art the same time and hated holding our old electronic thermometer under our tongues, waiting for it to register, and then having to clean it for the next use. This is easy-peasy…but sometimes we got significantly different results after only 30 seconds.

Wouldn’t turn on

I ordered this because Wirecutter recommended it. I tried the batteries in every configuration and tried my own new batteries, and it wouldn’t turn on. Hopefully I got a lemon and they don’t all arrive dead. I’m giving two stars because Amazon returned my money after a quick tech support session. But not more than two because I actually needed a working thermometer for my feverish two year old
