Clean the inside of your rims well before installing!

I seen many many reviews that state that this tape by WTB doesn't stick. I just finish installing this tape on two rims and had no problems whatsoever with it sticking. However, I know what I'm doing and I've setup many rims to run tubeless prior to this install. If you want the tape to stick and seal properly: 1st, after removing tires and tubes and the old rim tape clean your rims. Clean them twice. I just isopropyl alcohol with a clean rag or paper towel. I also clean the the outside or the rims and my hands with the alcohol as well, because any contamination will cause the tape not to stick. 2nd, don't expect to just install the new valve stems and reinstall your tires and expect it to work and seal. Reinstall the tubes and the tires and inflate them to the recommended pressure and let sit overnight. This will seat/adhere the tubeless tape completely to the rims. After these steps then remove the tubes from one side of the tire, install the new valve stems, add sealant and reinstall the tire on the one side you removed and fill with air. If you do this your tubeless setup will work every time.

solid tape for running tubes

24mm width tape fit my 19mm internal rims generously, there is no chance of the edge of the tape curling up/moving during install/riding. installation was fairly easy, just watch some youtube videos. prep work is important; i wiped down my wheels inside and out with 70% rubbing alcohol, paying special attention to the rim hooks. the secret to a clean install is pulling on the tape hard, as soon as you start the first few inches, to create tensions while going around the rim. i had no issues with the adhesion of the tape. a double layer weighs just 13.2g per rim (700c) and adds a lot of peace of mind. coming from velox tape, reinstalling the tube (yes, running with tubes) and tires was easier, likely due to how thin and slick tubeless tape is compared to regular rim tape/strips. i'd recommend this tape without reservation

The best so far.

First time user of ‘real’ rim tape as gorilla tape has always worked for me in the past. Will not fo back to that. Lighter and cleaner result.

Most critical item for tubeless performance

Seems good. Did develop a leak with Hutchison TPU elastic band. Replaced with this. Holding pressure well. Had another tape tear at a spoke hole and lead. Added Velo spoke hole plugs. Didn't work alone. Taped 1 layer seems fine even though not as smooth as without plugs. Holding pressure really well.

Good for contoured rims like UST

I used these to convert Mavic XM419 rims to tubeless. Mavic puts a sticker inside the rim warning to only use Mavic tape - but that stuff is hard to find where I am and super expensive to order. Pulled taught on the rim it conforms nicely to the rim contours and adheres well. Good price and the 24mm width works perfectly with the 19mm internal width of the rim.

Not Sticky Enough

Sealed my tires with one layer, but was very difficult to get it to stick to my Spank rim. I ended up putting down a layer of electrical tape first to give the WTB tape something it could stick to. But it's been working great for a couple months and is much better than the Gorilla tape it replaced. If it were more sticky, I'd give it 5 stars.

I’ve always had good luck with WTB

This tape worked way better then the factory rim strip on my Mavic Allroad wheelset. I tried all kinds of tape from gorilla tape to rubber rim strip with tape but this worked first try.

Complete Garbage

This tape was completely useless. The edge tore away every single time I tried starting from scratch. Wasted half the roll before I gave up and decided to buy something else. Total waste of time and money. Spend more money and buy a higher quality product.

Rim tape for tubeless works

It’s rim tape. Not complicated and it works no problem. Make sure you purchase the right width for your rim. Make sure you pull the tape nice and tight and make sure you don’t have any wrinkles.

Doesn't stick

Can't even get this stuff to stick to my rim. Yes I washed them up with soap etc. It just doesn't work. I'm asking for my money back.
