Powerful and easy to use plus less vibration

It collects a lot of the dust generated do to it's use. Didn't leave swirl marks on my wood surfaces from sanding.

Great sander but kills my hands after 10 minutes of use

I’ve used this sander a few times. I had my Dewalt quit and shortly thereafter my backup Skil sander. This is an amazing little sander, better than my other two, and hard to beat the price. However, I cannot use this sander for more than ten minutes. My hand will hurt to the point of not being able to move it for a day. It makes getting through a project extremely hard. If I wasn’t impressed with how well it does I would send it back.

Excellent Finishing Sander

The Bosch finishing sander is excellent. It's sawdust collector works extremely well. It's latch system for holding ordinary sandpaper works very well. I see no downsides to this tool.

Works as you would expect a Bosch tool to work.

Not sure why but, I expected it to come with a soft case. It didn't. Keep it in mind if it's a concern for you, it isn't for me. I've made piles of them that rarely or never got used. I was disappointed that I'll have to do the Rube Goldberg routine to get my dust extraction to work with this but, what it came with seems to be working better than expected. It's not your typical hang-off-the-back canvas bag. It vents through the base and comes with a hole punch to perforate regular sheet paper once installed so it works. This tool doesn't start up to full speed immediately. It sort of spools up. Not exactly a soft start like a Bosch router and it did concern me at first but, it's beginning to grow on me. I like it. The tool feels robust in the hand yet I get no fatigue from using it like others I've had. I HATE that word "ergonomic" but, I believe it applies here. So far, I've done about 70 sqft of hardwood plus another 100 sqft of plywood and have experienced good results with no negative issues. It's easy to change out paper and, best of all, the paper stays put with a well thought out fastening system. The other two I had either ripped the paper before it was used up or had to be reattached after popping off time and again damaging my work piece in the process. This is a game changer for working inside drawers and cabinets just prior to and during finishing. Glad I got it and would recommend it.

Great Sander

If you are looking for a quality sheet sander that won’t break the bank this is a great option. The sander leaves a quality finish and dust collection with an extractor is top notch. Overall a really great sander at a great price

Mejor que las demás opciones por el precio

En este rango de precio está la Dewalt DWE6411, pero por el mismo precio ésta tiene base completamente de metal y personalmente prefiero la forma de sujetar la hoja de Bosch. La Dewalt tiene un clip enfrente y dos tensores para la parte trasera, mientras que ésta tiene un tensor para adelante y otro tensor atrás. El motor es bueno (2 amp, lo mas que he visto en orbitales) y lija a buen ritmo, pero estas son lijadoras de terminados; no esperen que desbastar y eliminar capas de barniz preexistentes sean rápidos, aún usando lijas de bajo grado. La usé para dar el terminado a la base de mi cama y con hojas de grado 150 deja un terminado muy fino. Tenía mis dudas del colector de polvo, pero si funciona (casi no dispersa aserrín, el 95% lo atrapa).

Bosch Quality

What a little beauty. I use to buy only Makita until they went down in quality and started burning out. Very happy with all my Bosch tools. This is my second Bosch sander. A big reason I chose this sander is because it takes quarter sheets which means much cheaper and a much wider range of grits. Secondly as the pictures show this sander has a cast, machined aluminum base plate, a sign of quality. Other brands in this and higher price points have either all plastic or plastic with a thin sheet of aluminum for a base. I don't know how they do it but the vibration isolation really does work. Nice design, feels good in the hand. I also like the hole punch accessory. Now if people will only stop stealing my tools. :)

Compact sander that uses regular sand paper

Just what I needed. A sander that uses regular 11" x 9" sandpaper. No pricey pre-shaped consumables to buy. The sheets are held in securely with spring clips. The dust port connects to my smaller shop-vac. Really handy. Recommended. I would give 5 stars, but the off/off switch is kind of small and the rubber dust cover for the switch makes it hard to use. I would like to see a power switch that folks with bigger hands can use easily. Dan

Bosch Quality!

This sander is very handy for finishing as it uses standard sheets of sandpaper that the included press pops the dust collection holes in. I just cut up a stack of paper in advance of the grits I need and when changing over, pop in the dust collection holes and right back at it. Vibration feed back to the user is good and stays comfortable to use for an extended period. Like my other Bosch tools, I look forward to using them as they allow me to build and finish far above what I was able to do prior. I think the fact they work so well makes you eager to do the best work you can as you do not get worn down my the frustration some other brands deliver. I do wear hearing protection although it is not overly loud, it does buzz along with enough noise that hearing protection is not a bad idea. As typical with all the other Bosch tools I own, this is a very nicely built quality tool that I expect will last me a long time.
