Easy and fun to use

An engineer friend, who would follow directions, put it together w/just a bit of help from me when 3 or 4 hands needed. My primary care doc wanted me to use it to build up arm muscles. It's fun, quiet enough to watch TV, definitely sturdy. As directed by my physical therapist, I started at Level 1 for no more than 3 minutes. I set my phone timer so that I can track my speed. It's getting faster and time is increasing. It is heavy for me. I can ride my 3-wheel bike outside, so I don't put the peddler on the floor, but leave it on the table. I'm delighted with this purchase!

Use real wrenches, toss the included ones

I just got this, so this initial review is based on assembly and first impressions. For reference I got the magnetic version that doesn't have to be plugged into an electrical outlet to operate. I read in the description of the plug-in version that it would stop after 30 minutes or so of continuous use, which won't work for me as I plan to use it for longer than that. First impressions are very good - the unit seems quite sturdy and well-made. There are very few parts to assemble - just the two "legs" and two pedals. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble, but more on that below. First impressions of the pedal action and resistance after assembly: I'm very pleasantly surprised. I intended to use this on light resistance for several hours every morning while working at my computer, and I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to find the right level of resistance. This isn't the case - I find that my ideal setting is a few clicks from the highest setting, which leaves room either way for adjustment. I don't think I'll be able to build giant leg muscles with this machine - even the highest level is pretty tame, however for boosting my heart rate I think it's perfect. My goal was to replicate a somewhat brisk walking heart rate: mission accomplished. I'll edit my review after using the machine for a while. Regarding the assembly: Upon opening the package, I took one look at the provided "tools" and immediately threw them in the garbage. I used my own open-ended wrenches and adjustable crescent wrench for the largest nut with zero difficulty. I say zero difficulty because I READ THE DIRECTIONS. They clearly state you have to thread the LEFT pedal on COUNTER-clockwise. This is the opposite of how you'll try it without reading the instructions, and I believe this accounts for 99.9 percent of the difficulty other reviewers complain about. So if you have your own wrenches (13mm, 15mm, and a large adjustable/vise grip/channel-lock type), AND ARE WILLING TO READ the instructions, you will not have any trouble putting this thing together.

Great product

The assembly of the base was ok. The pedals are a bit difficult. The item is not as easy to lift with one hand as video shows but can be lifted. The pedals are way too small. 2" x 4". The straps are useless ,cheap and my feet slip out. I have to take off my shoes to get a better grip because I can slip my foot 1/2 way in. My shoe size which is only 7, cannot fit properly on pedals with strap. Only the tip of sneaker fits in. It would be nice to get a choice of pedals when ordering. I prefer caged pedals to keep feet straight but unfortunately it is 1/2 inch thread and no one makes a caged pedal with that thread size.Even the company. I have bought a 4"x4" pedal and velcro strap to use and hopefully will be able to use. A mini indoor cycle is much different and a bit difficult to use than a regular bicycle. You can't do much when using like the pictures show, except watch tv. Expect the same with any mini bike. Hopefully bigger pedals and straps will work or I will return. ADDENDUM: I bought CyclingDeal 1/2" bicycle pedal that is 4 inches,.the onipax outdoor bike pedal stops toe clip straps and they work perfectly with the mini cycle. Pedals were not difficult to change. so much easier to pedal and my feet stay straight and staps hold well and are adjustable . i can use my sneakers

An answer to my prayers.

I absolutely love this Sunny Fitness Mini Exercycle!! I can put in anywhere and get a great workout! It’s extremely well- made and has 8 programs I can use to change up my workout! I really feel it too. I had a question and contacted the manufacturer- they could not have been nicer and answered my question immediately!! I did a lot of research on which mini Exercycle I wanted, and am so happy that I bought this one! It’s really fantastic. And the price was very, very reasonable.

Smooth cycling

This is a great little pedal/cycling machine. The weight of the flywheel allows for a very smooth pedalling experience. I have tried a different from a friend which had only a tension knob, but returned it. This Sunny cycle is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!
