One of the best for art classes.

I remember using these sketch pads in school and I loved them for art class. Now that my son is in art, when he came home and asked for supplies I knew just what to get. Finding it at a reasonable price with good shipping options was the key. Well I found it here. Not only is the quality of the sketch pad just as great as I remember it, the price was pretty neat as well, and it came to me super quick. I recommend this for any student in art class, or even for general doodling and whatnot. This seller is a pretty good bet too, quick shipping and great prices!

This is the starters perfect size

My art teacher was very pleased because the quality of this paper and especially the size of the pad. Because beginners need to exercise and learn to use the whole area and surface it is important to begin on a large pallet verses a small pallet. Simply put, anyone can draw a small item on a small area, but learning strokes and sketching and use of the whole arm and hands a large pads allows them to loosen up and be free to stretch out and sketch in life size. Once the basics are learned, a small pad is great, even scribbling and doodling, but start out with a big pad.

It's okay but

my mistake I thought it was a heavier paper....but other than that I love it. I would really like to buy from you the same in a heavier paper...do you have that? Strathmore 300 series medium surface sketch pad 14" X17" 50 sheet 70lbs 104 g/m. That is what I was truly looking for. I love Strathmore products and this one is light but fine.

Papers.

I use these papers to make my own journals. It's a really good quality paper and works well with both pencil and ink. The weight of the paper is 50lb so there may be slight bleed with certain inks, but nevertheless I consider it the standard and it will resemble most papers that you might find in a book.

It's paper!

It's paper and I was able to sketch on it. No false advertising here! Every page appears to be the same. However, so far it has not made me a better artist.

Paper feels and looks cheap.

Paper does not have the texture for drawing. It feels cheap.
