It works
It fits a standard 5 gallon bucket well. Does not slide all the way to the bottom, so it's not sitting in water. Drain holes in the flat bottom are good for drainage too. Seems like a decent quality plastic, so hopefully it will last a while. Other similar bucket caddy's have 4 compartments. This one is only divided by the handle, so two compartments. For us, this is was preferred.

Worth it.
So, I'm a union carpenter, and as any tradesman will tell you, most of the time we're looking for anything to sit on when we take break instead of a cold concrete floor, dirt, gravel or a pile of 2x4s. 5 gallon paint buckets, drywall, steel studs, work, but are not always around. Plus the paint bucket lid starts to hurt after awhile. This is perfect! Nice to have a little cushion for sure. Plus it sticks to the top of the bucket but is not very hard to remove when you need to get into the bucket for something. So, yes it's worth it!

not up to par if you're looking to use a 5 gallon bucket as a composting toilet.
If you only want to make a stool from a 5 gallon bucket, this would be ok. But it wont work as a toilet lid, unless you wanted to cut a hole in it.

Won't hold on rough terrain
Installed this on my lawn tractor to hold trash I find around the property. It does not hold the bucket on rough terrain, the bucket works loose and goes thataway. Considering adding some rare earth magnets to the bucket and the surface under the bucket to hold it in place. If you don't have any bumps this is probably fine.

Under advertised
I wish I new a product like this existed over the years to use to wash my car. I bought this to clean my boat when I saw it in the Shurhold site. Great product. Tight fit on a five gallon bucket but they have a good hole to pull up the unit. Seems like a high price. Would probably make a killing with the right SEO on car wash products.

Worth every penny
I have 4 buckets outside with upright too heavy items and they were knocking over with every gust of wind. Not anymore. Now that I have these bases down, those buckets are staying put. Amazing product. I honestly didn’t have much faith after seeing it because how could something so small create such a sure base? Well I still don’t have an answer for that but I’m glad I took a chance.
