Yes… It worked as Anchor-line for my kayak

Probably not what it was designed for but I’m using this bad boy to anchor down my kayak at the river and it works like a charm.

Canoe anchor

I use this to anchor my 16ft Grumman canoe with a 4.4 lb anchor. The line it comes with is tough. I got hung up on a log and fought hard to get unhung and was surprised that I didn't break the line

Your life is on the line..buy better!

This reel is awesome you would like to spend your surface intervals detangling and respooling. Who needs to hydrate for that hour when you can spend all those precious minutes with your reel! Do yourself a favor from the beginning and buy a better reel. At 100' is not the time to find out that this reel is a POS!

Pleasantly surprised.

I purchased this not knowing about the ratcheting feature. I am quite please with it. I used this to tow my diver buoy for a few miles and had no issue.

Perfect for kayak anchor line. Works well and is made to be in the water so you don't have to worry about salt water eating away at it.

Remove half the line and save it for later replacement

The settings for free and lock are great. The setting for some resistance is not of any value after a couple dives. The unlock switch is fairly easily triggered by being bumped. Wear it on the left to protect the switch from other gear.

As a BTB kayaker I bought these to set up an off shore anchor system and it works great! Cord is heavy duty enuf to hold 14' Ocean in place with a 5lb drop anchor. I pull up anchor line with my hands and reel up as I go easy and great way to keep ur anchor line straight and secure!!

Nice reel but line comes off and gets stuck in shaft

Not sure who signed off on this but the line immediately came off the reel and got stuck in the shaft. Returned it and purchased a different/much better one
