Convenient

I love that these hang together. They use the trash bags we buy for use in our bathrooms, so nothing special required. I found these a little small for my at-home office - paperless offices are a lie. But these are great for the craft room. The trash can is for threads and teensy bits of fabric; the recycle is for small boxes we have beads and such shipped in. Works great.

Use a binder clip to hold them together!

Someone else mentioned it. Perfect idea. Binder clip does wonders. They are perfectly sized.

Simple solution next to your desk

I was looking for a simple, elegant trash/recycling combo can, and I discovered there aren't too many options out there. I went with this one because it's the right size, and would fit well where I need it beside my desk. It's not fancy, but it works. I like the latching, but it easy for them to get out of alignment. My biggest criticism is that it is over-priced. Of course, with few options out there, it's a sellers market. I also find the plastic not to be the sturdiest. Nevertheless, it does what I need it to do, so I am pleased.

Good for sorting trash in a given room

The media could not be loaded. The individual cans are small, but if you use them to separate food wrappers from plastic bottles, and then later, put them in a larger container, I found them very useful for that purpose.

Perfect Solution For Recycling

This item is great, there is only ONE PROBLEM and it's mentioned in MANY reviews. The manufacturer needs to put something in the packaging to keep the two units from becoming stuck together because they are ANNOYING to separate! We used the warm water method, but it took time and patience. The solution is simple for the manufacturer: PUT SOME BUBBLE WRAP OR CARDBOARD BETWEEN THE TWO TRASH CANS BEFORE YOU PUT THEM IN A BOX! I would’ve given 5 stars but for that one annoying thing. Otherwise, they're fabulous.

Why is this design not more popualar?

With the urgency to recycle and prevalence of plastic and aluminum cans, I had been looking for something to allow me to sort my rubbish as I went instead of doing so after the fact, which was just an all around unpleasant task. This is perfect for the job. My one reason for not giving 5 stars is that other people mention, if you want to pick up and carry the two bins together, you need to use a binder clip or some other work around. It should come with some sort of clip that can be easily undone.

Perfect for my home office.

I needed something to separate fiber from co-mingled recycling for my home office and this works very well. It is not big enough to fit the many cardboard boxes, those will go straight into the recycling bin in the garage, but works great for all the junk mail, packaging and everything else that needs recycling. WARNING: when I recieved these they were absolutely stuck, one inside the other. My husband and I tried everything to get them apart to no avail. The manufacturer said they were suctioned together and I just had to slide something between them...nope. Anyway, I ended up at the kitchen sink pouring warm water between them until the outer bin filled enought to push up and out the inside bin. Worked like a charm.

Right out the box

Used "can be bought from other sources" and selected one that suggested it had light use (about $20). When we received it, it was brand new. Took it out of the box, put it together in 5 seconds and placed it into one of the bathrooms for guests, having lined the black section for waste. No complaints, it met the need perfectly and when supply chains have settled down, will look to buy another couple.

Perfect for underneath kitchen sink

I had been searching for bins to place under my sink and everything was too big. These bins are absolutely perfect for under the sink. They come apart pretty easily which isn't a bad thing since one bin gets filled more quickly than the other and need to be dumped more often. Definitely recommend!

Handy for micro apartment

Fits great under the sink, and love the dual compartments. I guess the only bummer is when you pick it up to dump the contents, the pieces come apart and can be awkward to carry.

What a very useful set of bins. Occupies a relatively small area in my sunroom.

Useful for paper and document to be shredded and the other bin for miscellaneous study room rubbish.
