Heavy Duty!

Take your time installing this and it will be an awesome upgrade to the stock carrier/hinge. I upgraded to after market wheels and 33" tires and was way over the Jeep recommended weight limit. This was the clear answer to my problem. Well made, heavy duty and didn't break the bank. Highly recommend! Its been on for a few months now and it rock solid.

eliminates rattle

This was a very quick install (less than an hour total) Had a HD tire holder for my 35" tires (on 17" rims). Would rattle/make rubbing sounds that were annoying. Should have replaced the hinges when I did the HD tire holder, anyway, after installing this the tailgate is very sturdy and no more rattling.

Worked great and eliminated the rattle

I installed this on my JKU and it eliminated the rattle from the tailgate, due to oversize wheels & tire. I can't comment on the longevity of this product, as a sold that Jeep shortly after installing this! It was well packaged, sturdy, and the coating was of high quality. Install took less than an hour on my own, the toughest part was putting the spare back on! The hinges were stiffer than stock, but I didn't have it long enough to see if they freed up at all. Great purchase and good looking tire carrier.

Bolts weak

The bolts are weak and begin rusting in a week. I broke one bolt off putting it on. You'd think that for the money and the purpose of the carrier they'd provide the best bolts available. Now I'm going to have to pay to to remove the broken bolt and buy all new better ones. Don't buy until they upgrade bolts.

Strong Casting. It looks nice ,while also giving the support I need. Installation can be done alone, but a second person is helpful. Worth the money! Great buy
