Great fit in place of old speedometer!

The compass works great and fits into a standard 3” size instrument hole with minimal modifications. I had an old speedometer that never worked and decided to replace it with this compass. My dash has about a 55 degree incline/slope and this compass was able to adjust to a level position. Any steeper, this compass probably would not have worked. So far so good. It looks nice and is pretty accurate out of the box. It comes with an adjusting tool to zero magnetic north if needed.

Read the small print

Had to return cause I couldn't use it on my boat Disclaimer that it cant be within 18 inches of your rpm dial, I had no where else to place it. But it seemed to work good in the box

Good compass overall!!

This compass seems to be a great except for one thing. When mounted on a 45 degree dash with the compass adjusted to level, the backlighting does not light the heading well. If mounted more vertical, it lights well. As for the compass itself, it is accurate, easy to install and adjust. I fish and navigate the Great Lakes and it does its job.

Great Dash Compass!

I installed this in my 18' runabout (which I use mostly for salmon fishing in the Monterey Bay) and it is the greatest single addition to my boat that I could have made! Had it for three months without any fogging up, the compass is plenty large and very visible at night or early morning. The dash insert allows for the compass to be pivoted up or down before setting into place by almost 45 degrees, which makes setting the viewing of the compass a breeze. It is stable even in rough waters and I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a reliable dash mounted compass! INVALUABLE!
