Just what is needed to tie down loads on my pickup truck

I had a set years ago and loved them. But I had a hard time finding these again. There are many other products for a similar purpose that I don't like. Amazon's search function sometimes doesn't work very well. It seems Google's search function does better and links to Amazon for the item I want. These tie-downs are fairly discrete and have a low profile (don't poke out much). Just what I like. They are strong enough for most loads on pickup. Hope these remain available for sale for a very long time to come.

Sturdy

Make sure you put the gaskets into its application and I found I needed to buy some stouter screws. The work and last fine.

Love these things I put three down each side of my truck two on the tailgate and two up on the top corners of the cab it doesn't matter how tall it is or what it is they seem to hold really really good I've had no problems if I get another truck I'll get another set

Nice for the price

I bought these to put less stress on my old method I explain below: I have a roll n lock tonneau cover. (Truck bed cover on my Nissan Frontier, so I used to strap doors or material on top of my tonneau cover and I would strap the doors down with a ratchet strap by hooking one end under each rear wheel fender. Except that I was putting little dents in my fender well edge from the pressure of the tie down and hooks pressing against the metal. So these hide a hooks I screwed on top of the tonneau cover sides with out putting holes in the truck side rails. I found these hide a hooks have worked well thus far.

Nice hook, junk hardware

Hook seems solid. Nice finish. It's stamped 10k lbs., so I choose to believe that it will, in fact, hold 10k lbs. The only problem I had was with the hardware. The "spring" clip has absolutely no spring to it whatsoever. As soon as you open it once to hook a rope or something, it bends to that position permanently. It's just cheap, soft steel. The bolts might be ok, but I replaced them with good quality grade 8 hardware. The lockwashers that are included are thin and flimsy (and aren't even needed because it includes nylon locking nuts). Overall. I gave it 4 stars because it's a good value, even with no hardware included.
