Wonderfully convenient, but not heavy duty

I love these types of apple slicers. I love the thinner slices from a 16-slice cut. The mechanism to push the apple all the way through the slicer on this one is super handy. Functionally this thing is incredible. I just have to knock off a star for durability. I just broke my second one. Both lasted somewhere between 1 and 2 years of pretty mild use…I’d say we max out at one use per week. Perhaps we are cutting too large of apples or something? They definitely fit within the blades. But both of my slicers eventually break at the plastic lip at the front of the device. I believe the pushing down of the slicer eventually bends that point too much. So I’m debating getting another and considering it somewhat disposable or searching for a stronger model. Either way, incredibly handy device. Just wish it could hold up to more slices.

Best apple slicer ever!

This is a great product and very well made. I love that it slices the apple in smaller pieces than the more common slicers, which give you eight pieces. And the attachment that lets you slice through the bottom portion of the apple is genius. Many regular slicers will still leave the bottom of the apple unsuited, so this is a great feature. It feels well made and I think it will last for many years!

I liked the way it cut through the pear ???? It cut smoothly and without struggle. I would definitely recommend this and the kids found it very Entertaining ????????????Super Easy to use my daughter is 11 years old and she was able to use the tool with adult Supervision of course, she had great time doing it. Happy Customer here.

Easy and Works

Bought this for my son who loves to eat apples. He saw someone online make a video about it and wanted one. He loves it! Works great and less work to cut up his apples everyday. Cleans pretty easy too. I have a straw brush and it works great at getting in the small grooves near the core part of the slicer. Seems to be very good quality and sturdy. We have had it for a few weeks and have used it almost everyday with no issues. Definitely a good invention!

Love this thing

I've gone through a couple of apple slicers. Most fall apart because a lot of pressure is put on them. This one seems to do just fine so far. But what I really love is that it has smaller slices and the plate at the bottom that snaps into place at the end with a very satisfying thump and all the pieces are cleanly broken apart. I wouldn't say I enjoy cooking, but I do enjoy slicing an apple with this. I just toss it in the dishwasher to clean and that works pretty well so far too.

Fun to eat apples!

Apples are more fun to eat with this thing. I like to slice them, place in ziploc sandwich bag, add a squirt of lemon juice and cinnamon. Mix it all up and you have fresh yummy apples all day long. No browning.

Awesome.

This is great!! I love the bottom you can fold under the apple to finish cutting it. No more carefully trying to push the apple slices out with my fingers…. And hope I don’t get cut up.

Requires strength.

Wanted to cut even apple slices for drying. This does it, but is difficult for my weak arms and hands. Difficult, but not impossible. Someone suggested putting it on the floor and using your whole upper body to give it more force. Not necessary for me for macintosh apples, but will need to do that for honeycrisp apples..

Works well once figured out how to use

I didn't have my bins on when I ordered this. I didn't realize that it's hinged not, as I thought, in two parts. I messed up two apples before I realized how to use it properly. You DO NOT put the apple on the base and press the top. You open the thing up and press the slice down on your apple. When you're nearly all the way through you flip the base under the apple and complete the cut. I thought the top was metal but it's hard plastic. Longevity is in doubt.

my old apple slicer doesn't cut all the way down I had to poke the apple out then I saw this one being used on a cookery programme and had to have it , it slices all the way down great

Good, but the slices a bit too small

This is a well working unit, that is sturdy. My only complaint is that since the slices are so small, it can be a bit difficult to push through. Having the smaller slices is nice, but if you are at sll lacking in hand strength, stick to the larger slice units.

Excellent tool for slicing apples into smaller pieces.

A bit fiddly to clean. Although it can be put in a dishwasher it's often necessary to pick out pieces of leftover apple.
