Great discs but inconsistent grit

I ordered a large batch of these 80g and 120g sheets when my supplier was out of the Mirka that we usually use. I have to say that I was surprisingly impressed with how well they removed material and how long they lasted. But it seems like the sheets are actually 20g courser than labeled. Meaning added steps to remove swirl marks. So if you normally use 80g, I’d order the 100g, 150g in stead of 120, and so on.

AS good as any

My husband used these sanding disks to sand down a 17 year old metal Bilco cellar entrance door. He used a 6 inch Bosch electric sander and said the disks cut as good as any he ever used. He used mostly 80 grit disks and some 120 grit. These disks are a buy, the door looks like new now and he only used 4 disks to get the job done. He said they didn't load up whatever that means.

The price is great and they do remove a lot of material in a short time. The 80 grit seems like a 50 or 60 grit -- it's more aggressive than other 80 grit papers I've used. My problem with it: it sheds a LOT of sand! The free sand tends to mar the surface if it isn't immediately removed from the stock. I'll pay more for abrasive paper next time to avoid piles of sand.

Long-lasting discs

These are surprisingly good quality. I am pretty impressed with Powertec products. They're a great inexpensive alternative to other, more expensive brands. These discs are pretty durable. I have been using them with the Metabo Turbotec sander. Which can be hard on sandpaper at time.. But, these guys stand up to the test. ;) Definitely recommend

THEY DONT LAST LONG!

The abrasive on these sheets is soft and wears out very fast, not worth the savings in my opinion. I will not buy these again.
