I Just Always Wanted To Get One

I like to iron my own shirts. Asking my wife to do it means we might not leave on time to wherever we are going. But the sleeves were a pain in the a$$. This does the trick. It is very compact and lets me do the sleeves much faster.

Great for sewing

I was surprisingly impressed with the quality of this little board. I wanted a small raised board beside me at my sewing machine to press seams open and hems up while a project is in process. This sleeve board is just what I needed. The sturdy little base and legs lock in place for use but also fold up for storage. The board has a thin pad with a nice cover. The legs are short but they raise the board to about 4.5", so you can slip a sleeve or other tube over the narrower end for about 11" of length without obstruction from the angled legs. The top pressing surface is 20" long. This sleeve board would not replace a regular size ironing board in the sewing room but for little bits of pressing while sewing it works wonderfully.

If you have to iron, this little sleeve ironing board has been the best practical item to have. Very reasonably priced, easy to use, and easy to store.

However, Amazon helped us to refund the same in time. Ironing board isn't long enough to iron the entire sleeve. Too short.

Pros - Folds up for easy storage - Does what it is supposed to. Takes a bit of effort but I can eventually get an entire dress shirt sleeve ironed, Cons - Not long enough. I can iron the bottom half of the sleeve while scrunching up the rest of the shirt near the top of the ironing board and then do the top half. The shirt sleeves will never be completely wrinkle free this way but it's a bit better than not having one to use at all. If they made this longer so I could put the entire sleeve on without bunching up to iron, I'd buy it. That way, I'd avoid accidentally ironing wrinkles in. - Takes more time to iron every sleeve because I have to do them by halves. Bottom half, top half and then check to see if there aren't any other wrinkles. Would I buy this again? No. I do like that it's portable but I really wouldn't buy this again. At least not for ironing adult clothes. It might work for kids clothes. Next time, I will get one that is longer.

I like the sleeve material. it's well made but I find it's a bit narrow in length and width if your using it for ironing men's dress shirts. For the quality though, it's worth the cost.
