Works well, worth the money if you need to use the trailer brake
I bought a 2009 Silverado 2500 at auction and come to find out the entire trailer brake control module and relay were missing. Ordered this and it was at my doorstep as expected. Install was painless, no complaints. After installed got fault code C1114, then realized I had to get it programmed by a local automotive ECM/programming shop for $100 so budget at least this as the local Chevrolet dealer wanted $160

Must Reset Vehicle Computer
Installed on 2008 K2500HD Chevy Silverado. You must also have the vehicles computer reset after you install or the dashboard warning messages won't go off. This is not indicated anywhere on the product or in product literature.

Worked as expected, needs programming
Worked as expected 08 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax to fix service trailer brake error. Just remember it needs to be programmed. I used a generic J2534 passthrough and GM TDS.

Not plug and play
Was exactly what I wanted, but it’s NOT plug and play. Must go tot he dealer to have it programmed.

Works great!
Works great. This item does need to be programmed for your vehicle. Be aware of that before buying. Some people seem to leave negative feedback on items they do not understand. Many GM modules have to be programmed for the car they go into to work correctly.

Faulty part
We finally got around to installing the module. However, when trying to reprogram, it wouldn't take. It was discovered during the diagnostic work that this part was faulty.
