My Roxie the Robot

Roxie the robot, has made my life easier. I’m very pleased to have clean floors. I no longer need to fuss on sweeping my floors every two to three days. I was shocked to the amount of dirt this machine picked up after my initial cleaning. It definitely provides great suction power! The remote control is a must have to easily transition to different cleaning modes. It also has a scheduling feature. The battery last approximately 35-40 mins per cleaning. Recharging takes about the same amount of time.

baby proofing, bin size could be bigger

this is our first robotic vacuum. we received the vacuum in a timely fashion from amazon. outside box had no damage, inside had no damage either. it was all packed very nicely. it didn't take to long to figure out how to use it, so we charged it overnight, per the directions. in the morning I started the vacuuming process. I use the term process because I have to 'baby proof' the areas I want vacuumed. pull chairs away from counters, tables, pick up any cords on the floor (loves the cords - hasn't ate any yet, but will get hung up like a dog on a leash), close off some portions of the house each time I use it.. if there isn't room for the vacuum to get around an item it gets stuck for quite a while trying to figure its way out of the close confines. it isn't hard to move the stuff, its just another thing to do (like emptying the dishwasher). each time, before I use the vacuum, I empty the dust bin, bang out the filters to clear (I even use the shop vac to clear the hepa filter), I wipe the inside and out side off, turn it over and proceed to clean the bottom (I've had to untangle hair from the wheels a couple of times) (we have 3 dogs- so pre-cleaning the unit doesn't bother me, its just another thing to do - like folding laundry). another thing is vacuuming over rugs and carpets. we haven't tried it on the only carpet as of yet, but have used it in all the rooms that have area rugs. none of our area rugs are exactly the same 'ply' we have thick and thin. sometimes the unit can't get up on a rug at a perpendicular angle, so the unit will back up and hit it at an angle and will press on. we have some runners that the unit doesn't like (these aren't anchored so this is our fault, not the unit) - when trying to get up on the runners, the unit will sometimes push the rug and won't be able to get on it properly. this just another one of those 'things' like unloading groceries when you get home. if the area rug is thick or heavy, the unit doesn't seem to have any problems. I haven't used the item any one time to run the battery out, nor to see the battery get low and see if it will go back to it's home. i find that I stop it because the bin is full..... I can tell because the unit will poop out ghost turds behind it (like right now). It did run the battery out one time when I went to the barn, when I came back it had got stuck and either ran out the battery or just gave up from sheer exhaustion. when I send the unit home-to it's base- it takes a little time, but he can find it not to shame anybody, but I think the vacuum is a male because it cleans like one, spotty, lol, jk,jk. it works fine for our needs. my husband thinks it is loud, I don't find it loud, in fact it sounds like it is working so that is fine w/ me. I also told hubby, we aren't going to run it when we have company or watch TV so it can hum away - cuz its working and I'm not. however, if you peruse the video I attached w/ this review, it sounds super loud, I'm not sure why, maybe using the phone video has something to do w/ it. I can say the video isn't a true representation of the loudness (or lack thereof). The reviews and price for this item were in the budget compared to the ~$600 units which were not. on a rather unexpected surprise, in the documentation that comes w/ the unit, there are 2 opportunities to get free stuff. one way is to write a review, then take a screen shot of the review and send to an address on the card and you will get free stuff: I'm not sure what it is, but since I'm creating a review, might as well get the stuff too (like a cracker-jack prize). the second way is to register the unit within 30 days, post a product review on the site where the unit was purchased (amazon), screen shot and post it on the registration site. I haven't done that yet, but supposedly there will be free stuff there too (like a bakers dozen). cheers!

Pretty good little sweeper!!!

Bought the Pure Clean PUCRC9 smart robot vacuum to see if it would help us keep up on hair and dust in our home. We have 2 Maine Coon cats and an Australian Shepard. I have Multiple Sclerosis so any help I can get cleaning up around the house I'll take!!! Didn't want one with a centralized rotating brush attachment because I read the animal hair will just wrap around the brush clogging the unit. I just wanted a vacuum slot. I will say I am impressed with it. It maneuvers around the house well. It has no problem going from our hardwood floor to the area rug and vice versa. Even fits under our furniture to clean without having to move it. Doesn't clean the area rug but then again it doesn't have a centralized rotating brush. The unit is pretty quiet and none of my animals are afraid of it. I was a little skeptical about the dust bin but it does its job. Most of the animals food goes up the chute with exception to some of the bigger pieces. It actually collects the excess kitty litter my cats leave around the house from their paws and doesn't scatter it around like our sweeper does. The instruction manual is a little vague. Still trying to learn the remote. After unpacking and setting it up I plugged it in to charge for 15 hours before I used it. While it claims to get 90 minutes run time per charge I am only getting about 20-25 minutes before it returns to the docking station. Probably just needs a new battery. I will address this problem with PyleUSA. Hopefully they can remedy this problem for me without incurring any further costs. All in all it is a pretty good little sweeper. I would buy it again and would recommend it to others.

my first Robotic Hoover

We have the robotic hoover over 3 weeks and I find it works fine. While it does not replace your hoover what it does is keep the place free from dust and other bits by clean on a daily basis, one less job for me . I was pleasantly surprised by the amount it picks up. Easy to clean and empty. Easy to use and good value. Recharges very quick.

Does what I want it to do!

I love this little device. No nonsense robot vacuum at a reasonable price. It has coped well with the room divider strips and the edge of my rug which has a little fringe. It got stuck in the curtain and panicked, so I've now tied them back. It was entertaining on first use watching it look for the charger dock (home symbol) but now it knows where it is. I do intend to move the charging dock to a less obvious position in the house, so it will be interesting to see it learn the new home. I'm using it on hard floor and woven kilim rug. I haven't tried it on carpet yet. The remote is handy for pausing or starting if I'm in the other room. The volume is less than my standard vacuum and I can still hear the radio/TV over it, however from now on I have it programmed to clean when I'm at work. I am very chuffed to have clean swept floors all the time! Obviously, I look forward to finding out how durable and long lasting the little chap is.

Brilliant & well worth the money!

The media could not be loaded. So happy with this purchase. Absolutely brilliant to come home to freshly vacuumed floors. We’ve five cats & it picks up everything, their fur, the general debris they bring in, the mud my hubby brings in on his trainers (grrrr). The cats aren’t bothered by it, in fact we have to stop them from chasing it about. It copes going from tiles to hard wood flooring over threshold trims. Works it’s way around all the barstools, around the foot stalls & sofas, just trundles around for about 1.5 hrs before it heads off to recharge. Awesome so pleased.

Works well. Good value

I bought one of these for myself a while ago and I’ve just bought another for my old mom. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t replace a proper vacuum if you really love a spotless house, but for daily cleaning it’s very good value. I use it in my kitchen every day just to whizz around and get the crumbs. It’s so simple to use. Press clean and off it goes. It doesn’t fall off the edge and it goes back to its base when it’s finished or if you press the home button. I dare say the very expensive ones have better suction, but this is perfectly adequate for an apartment or for your daily “freshen up”
