iT IS WORKING FOR ME BUT A LITTLE TEMPERMENTAL
I am glad to have this tenon cutter, but there are a couple of issues which may be common to all (?) such devices and not just this one. The exact diameter of the produced tenon naturally depends on the exact adjustment of the cutting blade. The blade is held in position by a hex head screw. No washers were provided with the blade adjustment screws, but without them your final tightening of the screw causes the blade to move off position from the friction of rotation of the screw head. So add a couple washers and life gets better. These 2" cutters put out a lot of torque. You need a powerful drill and powerful wrists to hold it. If you use a 12 inch horizontal handle you can do pretty well even if your wrists ain't what they used to be. In use I find the blades slip and the diameter incrementally gets bigger until you take the time to stop and readjust the blade position.

Great product!
Great tool all around. Use a 1/2" drill with a side handle. Clamp your wood stock and go to town. Awesome! I am going to buy other sizes as it has inspired me to other projects. I am VERY pleased with the quality and effectiveness of this tool.

Limited Use
This cutter fluctuate well but I was limited to small diameter branches and I couldn’t use it. I returned it.

Worked great.. will be buying larger sizes
I used this tool to make railing spindles on a tree house railing. It worked great. You need a vise or clamp to hold the piece from spinning. Suggest you start slow, rpm, as you start the cut. On large diameter pieces I used my grinder to smooth the edges before starting the cut. Will be buying larger sizes for bigger projects.

Works great with a little prep
Works great with a little prep, if you have 31/2 inch wood It will need to be tapered a bit, it really works good on 3 1/4 inch.....But works beautifully when the right size wood it used.

Great tool
I have to say I like this tool ! I have had no real problems ...the blade came in a little dull but I was able to put a sharp edge on it with no problem ...it is a tool that will last a long time... the steel is strong ...with a nice aluminum housing...

Blades work out of place and take too much of a bite
The blades do not stay in place very well. They need two screws instead of one. Other than that it works great.

Powerful low speed drill required.
For practice I made an outdoor love seat for my porch from 6 landscape timbers and a few leftover deck boards. Once the timbers are sized down for the bit to fit, it was easy to peg together.

Effective
Get a 1/2 inch low rpm (600?) drill (try the used market). Set the blades to take a minimal amount of material. You will be happy if you do. If it jumps and binds and chatters you are trying to take too much material at once.

Did not cut my dried oak branch.
I only used once and it didn't cut without the two blades moving. When the blades moved out of adjustment, the diameter of the tenon changed. There is only one small screw holding the blades. This cutter needs an additional locking screw, that would hold the blades from moving. I was very disappointed in this product.
