Great Pad

Now that I got the correct pad I ordered, (1st one returned), I can review it honestly. I ordered the 1/2" thick and it is 1/2" thick uniformly. I did have to trim it to fit which was a workout for my hand but expected due to other reviews. I like the fact that it has no latex backing and with the furniture anchoring the ends, it doesn't slide at all. So much more comfortable to walk and sit on and highly recommended for quality.

Decent Rug Pad

This rug pad was as expected. It's durable and thick enough to provide insulation. The felt is rather dense so it doesn't really add much in the way of cushioning. I put it on top of a non slip rug mat and haven't had any problems with the pad or rug shifting position. Solid buy.

Dense & Soft

Only complaint is a rug gripper is still required for this padding. It will not stay in place on hardwood floors, other than that, the padding is dense but soft. Makes our area rug feel so much softer & better on the feet. Pricewise, it's reasonable compare to other brands of the same size & thickness.

Product arrived as promised and is odor free

I am writing this review primarily because I am grateful for all of those who wrote reviews about rug pads. Because of those reviews I was aware of what to look for, and what to expect. This rug pad clearly states it is not designed to be slip proof. It is designed to go under rugs where the rug will be firmly anchored by furniture or other heavy items. I needed a rug pad to protect my hardwood floors. This rug pad will go under a rug that is under a bed. The rug pad arrived as promised; it was the correct size, with the correct depth, and it is odorless. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Make sure you pay attention to measurement

The material and quality are there. The measurement was off by a LOT. The other thing is, yes they accept returns, however, it has to be packed back the way it came. Now mine was 9ft x something, so I had to partiallty open it to see and then I couldn't get the genie back in the bottle. I bot a box at UPS and they put it in. Mohawk is still a great name and quality.

Excellent pad for high traffic areas

We have a thin rug in the living room that is stain resistant and easy to vacuum yet not cushioned to lay on or walk on. This pad gives the right about of cushion with out making furniture sink in or sit unevenly. After a week of kids and dogs run around nothing has shifted for moved either. Highly recommend

Worked great

My area rug has a very back and would ruin my hardwood floors. So this pad works great. I do not like the rubbery pad with holes. They tend to glue them themselves to your floor. Do watch when you use this pad, one side is more rough than the other. I put the rough side up and the soft side down.

Not 1/2” thick as advertised.

Was only 1/4” thick. So buyer beware that you won’t be getting what you’re paying for. Otherwise good quality.

This underlay made the carpet slippery ...also it was only 85inches long and not 8 1/2 feet!

Wrong size sent made carpet unsafe as it slips on wood floors

Felt is worth it

This is a very plush carpet pad. It was very easy to unroll and cut, with no smell. It makes the carpet feel infinitely better. It is a little lumpy in some parts but that has evened out over time. It is installed over vinyl flooring and could be a little slippery, but it is anchored on two sides by a heavy couch so it doesn't move at all.

Beware! This under pad is thick and comfortable under area carpets, but it slides! There is no gripping side to this product.
