Good Brand but getting pricey

I faithfully use Mcgard for all my vehicles and have had good luck thus far. I did go with the gloss black coated set this time to match my wheels. I have some concern on how the finish will hold up but they do look great on the rig! I did ding the rating for two reasons. The price on these have seem to have doubled from when I started buying them. I get there is inflation but doubling of price seems steep to me. The second thing is the online registration is a joke. I tried to do the online registration on this set and the previous set and the registration form and examples do not match the automotive sets. Overall, I still recommend them.

Great black wheel locks

These wheel locks are great quality. The key is well made to ensure no issues with the key breaking removing or installing the locks. I also bought these because they match the wheels.

Fragile but do the trick

Great for the blackout look. The lock key design seems fragile. My wheels take 140 ft/lb and I only adjusted them to 130 because I felt like I was going to shear them off. Definitely just use your torque wrench because the depth of the key is not too deep and might want to get off place if you are not applying the force appropriately.

Excellent product but DO NOT buy these for your Silverado / Tahoe / Suburban

I have read all the reviews on this product (24216) and the 24220. Several reviewers pointed out that the 24220 sticks out a bit past the normal lugnuts so it looks bad. One reviewer stated he took measurements and recommended these 24216 for the GM full size trucks as it was a closer length to stock and shouldn't "bottom out" on the wheel stud. Well guess what, he was wrong. I had no problems putting them on at all, they torqued down properly too. But the first time I was taking these off, the key broke right off. I found a lot of rust (as you can see) which was disappointing, and I figured that was the problem. Keep in mind these had been on the truck for 1 week so any rust at all is dissapointing. I emailed McGard, and they noted I had the wrong locking nuts for my truck (which I technically new). They stated that the fracture was likely due to "bottoming out" on the wheel stud. Sure enough, if you look closely at my picture, you can see where the wheel stud did contact the locking part of the wheel lock. Long story short, use what McGard recommends. Don't get creative and try to use a different part because it will likely come back to bite you.

Installed on 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition

Bought these and paired them with the McGard 64074 lugs. Before and after pictures attached. Had polished/chrome lugs from the dealership, no lock nuts. My wheels are more of a matte but from a distance it all looks pretty good. Used a bit of anti-seize when installed. Seated just fine and didn't crack or anything while torquing them down. Original lugs came off with lug wrench by-hand, new ones torqued by hand with the lug wrench. Will remove one or two after some mileage and rain/weather to see if there's any corrosion/rusting. 4/6/22 Edit: These have been through tire rotations, the wet winter season, and day to day driving conditions for about 9,000 miles now. The paint hasn't chipped or anything when being removed by the dealer to do tire rotations, there isn't any rusting internally, they haven't loosened over time, and they're still looking good.
