I’m so proud of this rices cooker it’s amazing easy to use and the way cooking is done perfectly and the food was greatly I’m enjoying my food and its also saved my time to doing any other things thank you.

Disappointed... Get what you pay for

We've used many Cuckoo rice cookers in the past and were looking forward to this one, esp since the price was so attractive. Unfortunately, we essentially got what we paid for. Here are my list of product deficiencies, in no particular order: 1) the cooking (inner) pot is very light. Maybe made out of aluminum. But more than that the nonstick coating is very skimpy. Within a week, already the bottom of the pan's coating has scratches. 2) the menu buttons design on the top of the lid is poor. When closing the lid, more often than not, one of the buttons gets pressed and resets the menu settings 3) rice & water level markers on the inside of the pot is incredibly illegible, even with flashlights shining on it 4) even with the correctly matched water level (say for 4 cups of rice) rice tends to be dry. we prefer ours fluffy/sticky and have not yet been able to accomplish that despite several attempts to compensate with more water 5) on the PLUS side, the handles on the cooking pot is convenient as is the removable inner lid & steam spout for cleaning Very disappointed that the best part of the rice cooker is these 2 features. Returning this one and after having learned our lesson, we will look for one that costs several times more than this.

Not bad for the price

It's not bad for the price. I love Cuckoo rice cookers and have been using them all my life. We had a pricier one before this but decided to try this one out because it was cheaper and the price was great. We do usually keep our rice for a few days in the cooker and with other models they still stay fresh. With this one I do notice the top on the rice that gets the most air when opened gets a bit hard after around 2 days. Also they don't have buttons and is touch. Normally it's fine but the other day my finger was cold so I was not able to start the machine till I ran my finger through hot water. Overall it's not bad for the price and it does get the job done

Spend the extra money to buy a Japanese-made Zojirushi

I’m a rice expert with a Zojirushi rice cooker. I know this is a review about the Cuckoo - but the only way I can do that is to compare and contrast. The Cuckoo’s non-stick cooking pot is almost paper thin compared to the Zojirushi’s. I use excellent Thai Jasmine Rice in both cookers. The rice quality is night and day. With the Zojirushi cooker we wanted rice almost nightly. With the Cuckoo - meh - only once a week. I get it - the Cuckoo is at least $100 less, but if the rice sucks and you have to throw it out - have you saved a dime?
