A good pair of crimpers

I bought these for Duct work and they’ve been pretty good. I’d like to say I’ve used my co-workers malco ones and yes in my opinion the malco are better than these, but these are still good crimpers. The depth of the crimp is good, they’re sturdy and well built, and relatively easy to use. The malco crimpers require less effort to crimp than these; however I’d still recommend these for the price.

Makes a nice crimp

Makes a nice crimp. Used them on some galvanized steel ducts and was quite impressed. I've had crimpers before that made much shorter crimps. The length of the crimp on these is about 1 5/8" which is a little more than on my store bought ducts 1 1/2". These crimpers are well made with a little heft not flimsy. The grips are comfortable making it easy on the hands. It doesn't take a lot force to operate these pliers. There is a grip catch for storage that releases when the grip is squeezed. It isn't marked as to where it's made though and, I can't say as packaging is in the trash. I can say I'm glad I bought these crimpers.

Quality tool, usable on 30gauge all the way to 24gauge

In the process of fitting ductwork, I worked with 30, 28, 26 and 24 gauge galvanized sheet metal, knock-down duct pipes and fittings. This crimper gives an excellent results, although you'd have to muscle it more with 24ga.

Klein Tools does it again.

Works as it should and is VERY sturdy. But it is a little pricey.
