My son loves this

I got this kit and another for Christmas for my son and he loves it

My Son Loves Them!

I bought these for my 10 year old son for Christmas. The hope was that I would get him away from his electronic devices. It worked! Him and his sister have been building things for a few hours. They have not tried building anything from the manual but they are having fun creating their own things. I actually made a giraffe from book. It took me a while because I couldn't get the pieces to stay in place. Once I realized I needed to push them in with force the model stayed in place. I would imagine that with regular use the parts won't require as much force to connect. I can already tell that K'NEX is going to be a favorite in our home.

We love knex but this one was easy to build

Delivered quickly, as expected. Great activity but I should’ve gotten a more difficult one. It took my 10 yr old about 10 minutes to put it together.

Keeps kids busy

Keeps the kids busy for hours. My four year old is able to follow the instructions. Sometimes he struggles with not having enough strength to manipulate the toy. But it is able to work through it.

Great Toy and good STEM teaching tool!

Pros: Nice teaching tool for kids learning about gears. Cons: 1. Not enough gears in the kit. Only 5 gears of the total 140+ parts 2. The booklet doesn't have all the plans. Makes a great addition to a Knex tub.

I gave this as a gift for my 9 yo, who loves the kit. Instructions are fairly easy to follow (she was able to put the projects together with minimal clarification and the connection to STEM concepts is clear. Some minor design flaws presented her with an opportunity to innovate on her own, which was great! Good educational kit.

Used for home school (Alberta Gr4)

Wow, this came with 3 different 'gear' projects with written worksheets for the student. It was pretty straight forward and money well spent.

Two 8 year olds had a blast putting this together and seeing how it worked.

Great activity, nice to have 3 builds and kids can use their imagination to build their own creations. Can combine with other Knex sets too!
