I have not tried them on ice yet

This review is only based on fit, since I haven’t tried them on ice yet. I have a pair of diamond ice trekkers that I have had for about 10 years. The diamond ice trekkers work great but the metal has rusted somewhat. I still use them. I bought these because they are lighter and easier to put in your coat pocket. I take a men’s size 11 shoe. I bought the L/XL and these are difficult to get over my boots and barely fit. They are useable, but I would not buy them for any boot over size 11 in the L/XL size. I believe when I ordered them they showed the size as L fitting up to a size 12. The trekkers that arrived are marked L/XL, so my guess is if you order XL, you will get the same pair I received.

RUN SMALL

RUN SMALL: This is my first time buying. Boot size 5; I ordered the Women's 5-9 -- way too small, can't stretch from toe to heel. Will be returning. Next size up out of stock unfortunately. They look like a good product. My girl friend loves hers.

The BEST for ice traction

Easy to put on over my Uggs, and they stay put; don't collect snow; grip icy areas. Just make sure to not wear on tile (Slippery) or hardwood floors (they will puncture). Last winter was incredibly icy, and I wore all season. This year, I purchased a back up pair, just in case, and did not need them. Not sure how durable, for running, but back yard use and shoveling; they are great!

Living in Wisconsin and dealing with our harsh conditions can be very dangerous. I walk daily during all seasons of the year and these traction cleats are by far the best I have found. Conditions change from one place to another and from one day to another, from bare sidewalks to snow to ice and back. The cleats are small enough to really dig into the ice and still provide good traction on snow. When on bare sidewalks, they don't slip. Generally, these only last for 1 season, as the rubber that holds the cleats together tends to wear through with daily use. I don't find this an issue because the price of a pair of cleats more than outweighs the potential cost of an emergency room visit.

THE STRAP IS GOOD BUT IT SEEMS LIKE ANOTHER STRAP IS NEEDED TO ...

I WORE THESE CLEATS TODAY IN THE DEEP SNOW AND ONE OF THE CLEATS CAME OFF MY BOOT. I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH MY OTHER CLEATS. THEY DID NOT HOLD TO THE FRONT OF MY BOOT. THE STRAP IS GOOD BUT IT SEEMS LIKE ANOTHER STRAP IS NEEDED TO HOLD THE FRONT TO THE BOOT. I'LL TRY THEM AGAIN AND SEE HOW THEY HOLD. IF THEY DO NOT STAY FIXED TO MY BOOT, I'LL LET YOU KNOW. I ALSO ORDERED A MEN'S LARGE SIZE. MY BOOT IS A SIZE 11. PS I TRIED THE CLEATS AGAIN, IN THE SNOW AND THEY KEEP COMING OFF THE FRONT OF MY BOOT. THEY MUST BE TOO SMALL TO STAY ON MY BOOT. PLEASE RESPOND TO MY PROBLEM.

Instructions not included!!!!!

These spikes look like a pair of flat snow shoes when they arrive!!!...The Ice trekkers ACTUALLY work I am JUST so ANNOYED because they DON'T come with instruction about how to correctly put them on !!!!!! Someone who had previously purchased these cleats was kind enough to provide me with this information: You have to stretch it to get it on. four spikes in the front and two in the back. u have to put the front first by stretching the hole/small space (on top of the four spike) so that the front of your boots will be inside the hole and then pull the back with the two spike to cover the back. lastly fasten the top to fully secure it. hopes this helps

Great product

These are the best for walking on ice and slippery roads/sidewalks! I have tried many other types and these worked the best. I was able to keep up my walking routine all winter, where with others I couldn't for worry of falling! NO WORRY with these!! EXCELLENT product! I ordered a pair for a friend too!
