Lightweight, good for working in heat; narrow brim

After a day working my hives in the Texas heat, this seems to be a decent jacket. Nothing will make them comfortable w/o A/C, but this was pretty decent. The suit was nice and loose [I bought a XXXL] and air flow was good. No stings, but I have pretty gentle hives. The "hat" fit my head without significant compression or discomfort after 2.5 hours of work today. However, the brim of the "hat" that is used to keep the netting/veil off of your face and neck is pretty narrow. I don't have a huge nose, but it regularly touched the veil when looking up or down. Turning my head made the veil touch my neck. So, the veil's effectiveness against an aggressive hive would be marginal. As the head covering piece is fully detachable from the suit, perhaps I received the kids' version? TL;DR: decent jacket, questionable veil, not 5-star worthy.

Beware. You will get stung thru this suit

I own a pest control company in Louisiana. It gets hot. We needed an aerated suit. This suit is very comfortable. But it allows bees to sting very very easy. My first job today I took over 30 stings and had to abandone the job. Went home and grabbed my old school double thick suit and never got stung again. Maybe it would work good for the backyard bee farmer but definitely NOT for a professional removing colonies. Material breaths great but the down side is very little protection from bee stings. It is made of very high quality material and great care has went into making this suit. EDIT: the colony above turned out to be Africanized bees. So, Deep South states that come in contact with Africanized bees, may wanna make sure to have an extra layer or two of clothing.

Didn’t work for us! We got the Flow.

The quality of the material was fine. It was the cut and the hood that caused the low rating. The cut was very odd. I purchased several different sizes as we have a lot of folks help with our bees. All of them had the same size sleeves. Just the torso girth was changed. This resulted in a small that fit me well in the body, but you could have fit three or four extra arms in the sleeves. Also, all sizes were very short. The elastic band did not hold the waist at the waist. They wanted to ride up on everyone that tried them on. As far as the hood, which is the most critical piece to me, it was a total failure. Quality of the zippers was very poor. They constantly hung up on the material. When on, and all zipped up, the hood collapsed into your face and was just down right annoying. I ended up sending them all back and getting the Flow branded jackets from Australia. They are amazing!

So far so good

Ive opened the suite to find a small layer of fine mesh over a larger layer and a another small layer next to the skin. brass zippers. triple layer zippers come together at the neck each over lapping the other with a velcro flap covering the zippers, tight elastic waistband and cuffs the hat fits well and the facial mesh may need some tending to keep away from the face and stings! I'm eager to add to this after using it in the field.

Wonderful product and company

I've recommended Humble Bee products to so many beekeepers I've lost count. Even my mentor asked about my ventilated jacket. I usually wear a round black veil with hat, with a long-sleeved white t-shirt. The round design keeps the veil away from my face, has a 360-degree view, and the wide brim add sun protection. I get all my wearable gear from these guys - the aerated jacket is awesome in the summer heat. A bit pricey but it's an investment and the quality is second-to-none.

Dandy jacket. Breezy. Comfy. I wear this even when I work an area that has a high volume of bees. We have a temporary set up for sales, and we sometimes have several hundred hives on a couple of acres. No stings. Women need a rig like this. If you are in coveralls with a bee veil tied on over it all and your pant ankles strapped to your boots, you are never going to get out of it in time to take a bladder break.

Beat the Heat!

I bought two of these: one for my husband and one for my father. They both love them! It has made a huge difference in keeping them cool during hot midwestern summers. The hat brim is a great feature that keeps the veil away from your face, and neither have been stung through the suit. The overlapping zippers take some getting used to but are great at keeping the bees out. Highly recommend!

Light and comfortable.

Really delighted with this jacket. Light and comfortable, the hat fits very well, the zips are strong, and well made. Have been looking at the 320 since having my own bee hive this spring but bought a basic full suit instead. I was unsure if the extra small would fit as I’m a ladies size 12 but it fits beautifully and is so much easier to get in and out of . Great bee jacket, good price and delighted thank you.

Jederzeit wieder

Ich habe eine atmungsaktive und leichte Imkerjacke gesucht und mit Humble Bee 320 gefunden. Angenehm zu tragen, es gehen keine Stiche durch, und im Sommer ist es wirklich super wenn etwas Luft durch die Jacke geht. Kann dies nur weiterempfehlen!

L'ho acquistata e devo dire che funziona perfettamente ma l'unica pecca è che non si può lavare, spero di poterla lavare a freddo sennò diventerà un grande problema.
