Well-made but not a good fit for me

I have been trying jackets in preparation for a trip to Europe this coming fall. I had never heard of the Helly-Hansen brand and after reading about them I was excited to try them. Upon receipt I could tell that it is a high-quality jacket. Unfortunately for me it is a lot heavier than I want to drag around for two weeks. It also is not a flattering jacket on me. I have a small waist but larger hips and the length of this jacket made it snug on my hips and it would bunch up when I sat. A two-way zipper would have done a lot to solve the fit issue for me, and I may have even kept it, or the other HH that I tried, for use at home, but I decided to return and continue the search.

Snug fit

Love the coat. I went way up in size based on the reviews. Fit is true to the reviews. Going up in size makes the jacket a bit big through the shoulders and arm length though.

Very nice coat

This knocks North Face, Patagonia, and Marmot off their pedestals. I don't know why everyone hasn't bought from HH yet. This is quality and it shows!

Stylish and durable

This is the second HH jacket I have bought, the first I had for 9 years. It was white and I have no business wearing anything white. I bought a black one so at least I won’t have to wash it as frequently. Bottom line HH is quality and well worth the money. Be sure to size up.

Fantastic Quality

In typical Helly Hansen fashion, top quality, light weight and waterproof. The rain jacket is tailored and gives the item a very flattering lock, whilst allowing for a Helly Hansen fleece sweater to be worn underneath. Love it. Definitely not the cheap Chinese quality one has come to expect from Amazon.

Nice light weight jacket

I was going to get the XS but, after reading the comments about the small sizing, I went for the S instead. It fits well but I wish I'd got the XS as it is a bit loose on me overall. I am a size UK 8 (EU 36). Still, I have room for a thick jumper if needs be. It's light, nice quality and comes with an adjustable hem (there is a cord to tighten or loosen) and adjustable cuffs (there's velcro to adjust) and a non-removable hood. The coat does up with a zip and there are also white velcro patches down the side of the zip for double protection and a clean finish .The white colour is a proper bright white and looks good!I gave it 4 stars simply as I was a little disappointed with the sizing but the product itself is an easy 5 stars!

It is a good jacket but it comes up bigger not smaller as other have said. I ordered the larger size and it is a bit too big. I am a size 10 and I ordered medium so should have gone for small.
