Smaller than expected

Bought this umbrella for my 5yo son. Was trying to find a color changing umbrella similar to the Holly & Beau umbrella that my daughter got when she was 5ish, and this one was supposed to be 28” when opened according to the specs on the Amazon page. I assumed that 28” would be the diameter of the canopy but the umbrella canopy measures 25” when opened. (See pic.) H&B umbrella is over 31” in diameter when opened (the brand seems to have gone out of business). This umbrella is correctly listed as 23” long. I would say that a 5yo is close to the top end of what this umbrella fits. Quality seems fine and lives up to the Hatley reputation. Color changing works great. The white dinosaurs turn green and blue (a different, brighter blue than the blue dinosaurs on the umbrella). The orange and already-blue dinosaurs do not change color.

Cute print!

I love this print! We haven't had a chance to actually use in the rain, but it seems like it will work perfectly. This is sized for smaller kids. Mine is six and it fits him well. It's more rounded and not flat, if that makes sense. It opens and closes easily and mine can do this on his own.
