Works great--but this is *NOT* a 4 cup rice cooker
The title can be misleading. This is "NOT" a 4 cup rice cooker. It is designed to only cook two cups. The measurement lines on the inside of the pot also only go up to "2". I did try cooking 4 cups of rice, though--as an experiment. At a 1:1 ratio of water to rice, the water was up the brim of the pot at the beginning of cooking. I noticed that steam did NOT start venting from the cooker until about 10 minutes from completion so I knew something was not right. Water was also being pushed out of the cooker while it was cooking and there was a pool of water forming under the cooker. After all this, after the cooking time of 40 minutes the rice was still somewhat hard and undercooked--but I chose to leave the rice in the pot and the cooker set to "keep warm". After 25 minutes I checked the rice and it was softer and more cooked. I left it for another 25 minutes (50 minutes total warm time after the initial 40 minute cook time) and the rice was fully cooked--but the rice was compacted and needed fluffing by removing it from the pot and put into another bowl. This is not a desirable way to cook. It would have been easier and take less time just to cook another 2 cups. So if you want to cook more than 2 cups at one time, look elsewhere. Otherwise, we like the design and the compactness of the cooker. We don't need more than 2 cups of rice come mealtime so it works out for us.

Good price and compact
I am very happy about the small and compact size! Perfect if you want small portions, singles or a couple. Very lightweight, easy to store or cute enough to leave on the counter as well. I have Greenpan pans and am familiar with ceramic coating and its ease of use (cleaning), but the ceramic coating is extremely thin on this comparatively! I haven't had it long enough to test the use or wear and tear so while it is a great price, I would be willing to pay more for products that are durable/quality and long-lasting. I took a star off for the extremely thin ceramic coat.

Very happy so far…it is quite small but I knew that going in and it’s fine for the 2 of us. I wish Amazon had more intelligent ad targeting though lol…I keep getting ads for rice cookers—even for the exact one I bought but in pink (because maybe the first one is lonely??????????‍♀️)

Good for university student
I bought this for my son who was going to University. At first, I am not sure if it will work fine - but price is reasonable and size is perfect for single person. My son has been using it for more than 6 months now. He was very happy with it. It's compact and quiet - easy to clean. Definitely a good buy

Presque parfait!
La grandeur est parfaite pour deux personnes voire quatre. Je trouve qu'il faut faire des essais afin d'établir le temps requis pour le type de riz qu'on veut utiliser. Moi, c'est Basmati et il n'y a pas cette fonction - riz brun et riz blanc. J'utilise la cuisson du quinoa que je réduis de 5 minutes en temps. Mon mari l'adore pour faire son gruau du matin.
