sent it back.. testing it out of th e box it leaked!

The media could not be loaded. plastic is used at this pressure point... I can't even imagine rolling up a hose and then finding out it leaks! I was hoping it would have been a good product . but likely build in China for a German company. Plastic elbow will break or not be good out of the box... cheap component.

Cheaply made

Crappiest product ever. This thing is so cheaply made that it fell apart the first time we used it. The plastic wheels fell off in the yard. The plastic handle broke. Seriously unhappy for the price.

Parfait pour tuyau 50 m

Le dévidoir Gardena Aquaroll L Easy Métal est parfait pour un tuyau de 50 m en diamètre 13 mm. Il s'agit de la version en métal (réf : 18550-20) plus solide que le modèle identique en plastique (réf 18520-20). N'oubliez pas l'achat d'un tuyau avec raccord pour relier le dévidoir au robinet (réf : 18040-20 ou 18011-20). Ce que j'ai apprécié : La poignet de transport réglable en hauteur et la poignet sur le coté pliable pour gagner de la place. Le guide (en plastique orange) facilite grandement l'enroulage du tuyau sans tortillage. En terme de longévité du guide, on verra avec le temps. Le choix d'utiliser du plastique est-il judicieux ? Très stable avec son pied en métal articulé, une protection en gomme sur le pied serait le bienvenue pour plus d'adhérence sur sol glissant ou éviter les griffures sur sol granuleux. Le nez de robinet sur le dessus est une bonne idée pour fixer le tuyau en fin d'utilisation. J'enlève une étoile pour le choix du matériau du guide et le manque de protection sur le pied en métal. Vendu sans tuyau, une housse en plastique anti-UV serait vraiment sympa compte tenu du prix d'achat. Je ne regrette pas mon investissement, très pratique à l'usage et garantie 5 ans. unreeling and reeling in a 50m hose is easy

After previous garden hoses suffered sun damage, dog damage and ended up tied in knots (leading to leaks etc), this Gardena product makes it very easy for me to use the hose when I need to (even at partial unreeling) and then put away out of harms way immediately after use. I really like the stability of the stand when winding the hose back in. Yes I'm using a hose 50% shorter than the hose reel is designed for, so its operating well within its design limitations, but it is doing very well. If I were to have a suggestion for improvement it might be to replace the plastic wheels that are in contact with the ground with ones using a bit of rubber so that when wheeling the laden system down a step, I didn't worry that it would suffer a really hard jolt that could break the wheels.

Great product, superior to auto-wind hoses

I had a Hozelock auto-wind reel for 3 years, but as soon as it went out of warranty, the rewind catch decided to break! I decided to get the Auqaroll L in metal, and what a pleasure it is to use. I find it easier to control than the auto-reel and much handier as it can be moved around the garden. One hint I will pass on, is that the hose must be wound onto the reel OVER and not UNDER the drum. A quick addition to my review. The inlet hose connector which your hosepipe connects to, must be tightened with a pair of adjustable pliers otherwise you may find that when you unroll the hosepipe it comes unscrewed and you get soaked!

Very handy reel for hose

Robustly made. Easy to attach my 50m hose and wind in with the handle and guiding reel. Is a great relief, no longer having to fight a loose 50m hose with a stroppy mind off its own! :-)

Expensive but soooooo worth it

Came ready assembled - nice surprise. 3rd use it started to leak - simple check of internal connection soon remedied it - just wished I had checked all the connections before winding on 50m of hosepipe! Expensive but soooooo pleased with purchase.
