Major design flaws in otherwise good basket

There are major design flaws that make this hopper less than useful. Here is why: While the hopper might fit 150 balls if pushed to the limit (and I mean to the limit, I am fitting close to 140 balls and it is looks like it is about to explode) it is NOT PRACTICAL to fit 150 balls in normal use. There is no way to close the hopper with the handle in place, and when that hopper is full, removing the handle is very hard. First off, you are bound to push some balls out while trying to remove the handle because you must use both hands to press the releases that are inside somewhere the midpoint of the hopper. If you are alone like I am, then I have to use my head (yes, my head is inside of the handle) to push the handle up while using both hands to press the releases. There is no other way of doing that if you are by yourself, otherwise, it is a two person job, someone presses on the release and another pulls the handle up. So if you will use this alone, and are looking to impress someone, this is not the hopper for you. :) This is a critical design flaw in an otherwise good hopper. I love the sturdiness, quietness and the comfortable handle. I like the zipper mechanism to close the bag, but for someone like me, who uses it alone in combination with a ball machine, it is not practical. If I could return it, I would, but sadly threw away the boxes before really trying it. It seems to me this is something they could fix with either a telescopic handle, or by having a button release in the handle itself or by moving the handle position to be outside of the area that needs to be zipped up.

Great For Travel

We visit the tennis court way to often with our ball machine and this hopper has been great to keep all the "machine" balls by themselves, since we don't want it chewing our match balls. Assembly wasn't that bad, but I did have to pull hard at some times to get the skin on correctly.

Good if this is exactly what you are looking for...

I own the Gamma EZ cart, and my bag was beat up so I bought this hopper as a replacement. It does what it's advertised to do. You can use it as a hopper, and then lift it up and put it on the cart. In that respects it works well. However, it's heavier than a normal hopper of this capacity so really no point buying it unless you need the removable handle or have the cart. Also Gamma could have designed this a little bigger to make it fit nicer within the cart.

Great help on the tennis courts!

I was tired of bending down to pick up all those tennis balls & invested in the Ball Popper. Makes life easier for sure!

Does not hold 150 balls

Great hopper except does not hold 150 balls as advertised I’m only able to get 112 in with the zipper shut.

Thought it was great until the handle bracket broke off after only a few weeks usage

At first, I really liked this hopper compared to my previous Gamma Hi Rise one since it was a little lighter overall, had more capacity, and was easier to use due to the single handle. However after using it 2-3 times a week for about 3 weeks, the welded bracket that the handle slides into broke off. Contacted Gamma about a warranty claim, but I need to ship back the entire hopper before they will consider the claim. Given the size of the frame and handle, it's very awkward to find a box that will fit. Probably will just scrap it or weld it back on myself. I would not recommend this one due to the durability issue.

Handle brackets broke off within a few uses

As with many other reviewers, the welds holding the handle to the basket are way too weak and broke off with just a few uses. The handle can be used as a ball picker-upper but not without a significantly stronger handle attachments on both sides. For $70, it is not worth the purchase. There are better options for less than half the price. Until it is engineered correctly, do not buy. It seems like the company wants you to ship the entire basket back to them to fix the faulty welds. Not a good option.
