Our eldery kitty loved it, our other senior cat likes it too

Got this as a special prezzie for our elderly cat, so he could spend his golden days comfortably in his favorite spot -- which gets chilly in the winter when humans aren't right there watching TV. He loved it and slept on it every day until he had to head out to the Rainbow Bridge. His surviving younger brother (now a spry early-senior himself) loves it too. It's been washed a few times and is holding up fine -- as the others have said, though, shake off all the pet hair first, or it'll end up all over the inside of your washer and back on all your clothes and stuff later.

Good for indoor and outdoor cats

I had an indoor cat this winter and I had a greenhouse cat. I kept them both warm and comfortable with the help of the pads. This spring I pulled them out for washing. They were full of cat hair. I shook them off and took them to the laundromat where they have extractor type washing machines. All of the hair came out. I did not dry them, but laid them on top of my dryer while I was drying clothes. Even though they feel dry it took a few days for them to get totally dry. Saving them for next winter.

More sleep for me!

Before this bed was purchased, I would be woken up several times during the night when my cat was getting re-positioned. My house has selective heating areas, so I felt bad wanting to eject the cat from my room during the night. With this cat bed, I can now get an uninterrupted night of sleep (at least from the cat) and not feel guilty for denying him warmth from my body. A win-win!

Best for indoors

The size and color were great however it was not as warm as i had hoped and the cats did not take to the feel of the faux fur. I did however make it work by using this as a cushioned layer beneath self warming beds in outdoor shelters. Would recommend it for indoor use or in a a fully insulated outdoor shelter. Handled cold air moisture well

Warm and cat/dog comfortable

Bought this (2) for placement in areas our cat liked to sleep. She took too them very quickly and can be found sleeping soundly when she is not getting into everything. We then bought one for our small dog who is elderly and gets cold. She too loved it. So, although I am not Dr. Doolittle, I can easily see they both love these for warmth and comfort. Cost is very reasonable.

Cuddly and Cozzy warm

I have a 2 yr old cat. I bought this because she liked to curl up on my heating pad after I had used it and it was still warm. I buttoned one end so that it is like a lounger. It is mostly on our bed and I catch her in it frequently. She did not like to be brushed. But since she has med-long fur, it is necessary. I caught her once in it & brushed her head gently. Now she runs down the hall ahead of me, jumps up on the bed & into her lounger begging to be brushed with my hair brush-now hers. All girls like to brush their hair in the morning! We are slowly being allowed to brush more of her. :-) Back, sides, tail, occasionally chin & chest!

So far, washes beautifully

I use this underneath my dogs bed to make sure the cold hardwood floors aren't making his bed cold. Sometimes when it's cold the dog will pull his bed out of the way and lay directly on the mat. The mat is luxuriously soft and washes beautifully without retaining odors. I use Downy Rinse & Refresh and wash the dogs bedding using the deep wash cycle, deep fill, and an extra rinse to ensure everything gets really clean. The only tricky part is drying the mat, the dryer wants to shut off before the mat is completely dry, so after a few cycles of drying as much as I can with the dryer, I leave the mat out to air dry for several hours to be sure it's completely dry. It does dry very quickly though and doesn't hold lots of water during the washing/drying process.

Cat magnet

This item is a cat magnet. Not 5 minutes from placing it on the sofa, and the cat was on it. Moved it to the chair - cat moved to the chair. Put it on the floor, now the cat is on the floor. It's incredible for training purposes to show kitty where you want them to sleep. They absolutely love these things and I love the fact that they're warm and comfortable without the use of an electric heating pad. Pads do great in washing machine, too. Have washed 5+ times and they're still like new. Only complaint is that they catch a lot of cat hair; however, I would much rather have it on the pad than directly on the sofa, and it washes off easy enough!

Waterproof! It works.

I love this blanket as much as the cats and dogs do. They snuggle in and shedding is contained amongst the fibers. It's also waterproof. When my cat had an abscess that burst, nothing was on the bed, just on the blanket. It washed up perfectly. Only complaint is that it is slightly smaller than I expected. Totally worth the price.

Looks great, until you wash it

We bought 3 of these blankets when we added a new puppy to our family. They are very soft and look really nice… until you wash it. I followed the washing directions to a “T” but it still came out looking ratty. We still use it, just doesn’t look very nice anymore.

Blanket is awesome. Soft and a good size. Washes up really great in the washing machine and stains come out great too.
