Probably the best compact router you can buy

This thing is: - powerful - easy to manipulate (the big flat clear base is what sets it apart) - light and ergonomic - kind of on the expensive side, but not significantly more than closely comparable options like the Bosch compact router Compared to what I had been using, this is a total transformation.

Powerful, but Respect The Tool

Pros: * Easy swapping of router bits * Simple to operate with dial for variable speeds Cons: * Depth is not that great. You'll need to buy a separate attachment. * Not easy to hold the router with your hand. You can buy a separate attachment to have better depth and ergonomics. Make sure you know that you'll need to buy your router bits separately. You'll need to know what size bits you need for this model and you absolutely need to make sure you know which direction you should be pushing/pulling the router in. If you do this wrong, the router could fly out of your hand and the bit could rip flesh from your body.

Perfect one hand router

Much more power than a trim router but the size of a trim router. This is now my go to, I also have a bosch and a kobalt but the speed isn't adjustable and they can be scary depending on what you're doing. If you buy this router, then get yourself the plunge base and the edge guide for it, this will be your go-to router as well. There is also a cordless version, but I would imagine that probably has the power of a trim router, I don't really trust battery power to be strong enough for routing.

Why did I wait so long

This router is AWESOME! I have 3 other routers, all tethered with a cord. I am hooked on the cordless freedom. I was afraid it wouldn't have much power because it's battery powered, was I ever wrong. I've used it for easy things like trimming laminate for countertops, but I've also used it to trim 1.75" wood flush with a cabinet without any issues. This is a great tool that I'd recommend to anyone.

Workhorse

Put mine through ~10 hours of heavy use so far. Holds up well. Great for working with medium-size pieces of wood/soft metals. Does not require a lot of strength to hold down/move horizontally. When wearing good hearing protection, the noise is super manageable.

Perfect for CNC router

I use this on my SainSmart PROVer 4030 CNC router. That machine comes with a mount for the Dewalt DWP611 router. It's the perfect addition for the CNC machine.

I run a CNC router shop and have 6 smaller CNC machines that take these little beasts and they have yet to let me down in the 4.5 years I have been running them. Only thing that needs to be replaced is brushes if you use them a lot like I do .....these run on average 8 hrs a day every day for me and no complaints with them at all ...I have 8 of them in my shop now and will not use anything else. Variable speed option is awesome as well.

Un excelente producto y muy fácil de usar.

El producto se siente de excelente calidad, los materiales son de primera, el embalaje hizo que el producto llegara intacto, es mi primer router, pero no el primero que he usado, no me arrepiento de la compra. Decía que iba a tardar aproximadamente 2 semanas en llegar, y llego en mucho menos tiempo. Todo excelente. Al encender, el motor no da patada, enciende a revoluciones bajas, por lo que es comodo de usar desde el principio, lo único que no me agrada tanto es la forma de colocar la guía de borde, es un poco molesto estar atornillado y desatornillando la guía, a pesar de eso, todo funciona de maravilla. Una forma muy cómoda de ajustar la profundidad de la broca/fresa. Espero poder juntar un poco más de dinero y poder comprar un inalambrico en el futuro.

Ya había tenido routers económicos que cumplen el trabajo y no lo hacen mal pero... créanme que se siente la diferencia cuando compras algo de calidad superior, lo subes en velocidad y no se escucha forzado trabaja de maravilla de verdad una chulada y tal ves me anime a comprar el dewalt 618 para brocas de 1/2, si lo compran no se van arrepentir
