Small but mighty!

I was very surprised when I got this to see how small it was. I have a few CS Osborne punches (which are junk compared to these) and they are large. This came razor sharp and goes through leather and nylon strap like a hot knife through butter.

Nice

Used my 3/4" end strap punch a few times and it works very nicely. Much better than me cutting a curve with a leather knife. Plus, it's made in the USA and feels pretty solid.

Great tool

Woks great just wish a whole set was cheaper Oh well four down and only six to go. If you want a tool for life you pay the price there is a reason these are not $10 for a set. When I need a certain size I just get the the three in that size ,round ,English, and oblong so someday I will have a set

High quality, good steel, symmetrical, sharp

Very happy with this strap punch. It came pretty sharp, and I was able to punch through 10oz bridle leather easily. I'm sure with a couple minutes on a fine whetstone I'll be able to get it razor sharp and it will glide right through the leather even easier. It came with a greasy coating on it to prevent rust, and had no rust on it whatsoever. I think these punches are worth the extra money over the Japanese punches. I'm normally a fan of Japanese tools, but for strap end punches I think these are the best. For English point punches these Weaver punches are worth the money because cheaper ones are often not symmetrical. For rounded end punches like this one, a cheaper one will do in a pinch, but I would spend the money for the Weaver one. High quality steel that has the potential to get very sharp. Cheap punches won't get very sharp no matter how much you sharpen them. Highly recommended
