Tricky installation but works for vintage windows

The installation is a bit tricky. After two failed attempts, I thought the unit had stripped. On the third try, I realized you need to spin the gear clockwise until it comes to a forced stop. That is when you will attach it to the window bar, making sure the window is OPEN. I needed a partner to hold the window open from the outside while I fit it into the space. You will probably have to unscrew the bar from the opposite side as well to get it to fit in properly. It takes some patience and tinkering, but it works. Overall, they feel lighter and a bit cheaper than other models, but i needed the 11/16" hub projection to fit the space properly. I'm ordering 8 more to repair every window in a 1970s travel trailer.
