So this is to address some of the concerns I had in purchasing this bike based on previous reviews. We didn’t have the optimal tools to assemble this bike and it still took less than about 20 minutes to assemble (its seriously that easy). One complaint I read said- we had to force the brakes open to fit the front tire in. This is only true if you inflate the tire- instead, deflate the tire slightly and squeeze it to slip it between the front brake pads with minimal effort. Don’t inflate the tires until the tire is set and the brakes are in place and functional. Adjusting the brakes was probably the biggest nuisance. Again- it seems like the bike was metric and we have only a standard tool set. Ultimately- I think the bike seems sturdy and arrived about 75% preassembled (a bit foolproof). If you are a single parent and not very handy- don’t fear this bike. Shipping did not damage this in any way. I think 4 Stars is the maximum I will give for now. My goal is to update in a few weeks once our daughter road tests it so we can judge it’s safety, durability, usability and kidfactor. For all the shipping, delivery, assembly and piecework- I would say this has been an excellent choice! Update about 2 months after purchase: we love it! The bike handles very well. She has tipped a few times and it didn’t ruin the bike in any way. My only critique is- if you have a bigger, heavier kiddo, the training wheels are cheap. Plastic and would likely break under pressure. My daughter is light as a feather, so it’s not an issue. Reminder- training wheels are NOT meant to stabilize the bike. They are supposed to be set high so the child rocks and learns to balance on the main wheels. That being said, I would give an extra half star for this bike. 4.5 of 5.

No Pedals

I received the bike and there was NO pedals for the bike. It was a Christmas gift for my daughter and it was missing the pedals. I took the pedals off her old bike to make sure she had it for Christmas.

Dirt bike tires and hand and pedal breaks

We bought this for my 4 year old daughter. We received the bike in great condition. I read some reviews where there were issues with the frame being bent, but I really had a hard time finding a girls dirt bike with both hand and pedal breaks. We were fortunate not to have any defects. The bike was super easy to put together, less than 30 minutes and it tells you exactly what tools to have ready, great instructions. My daughter has been on it every day since the minute it was put together. She uses the pedal breaks now, as that is what she was getting used to, but I like that down the road we can show her on the same bike how to use hand breaks for when she is ready to transition into a bigger bike in the next couple of years. Thankfully, this should last her a couple years, so we have time.

Big Girl Bike Gift

A big girl bike was requested from Santa and this is the one we decided to go with. The paint colors are really bright and has glitter in it too. I was a little nervous about assembly because of other reviews, but we had no issues. All the parts went in fairly easily and we only used standard tools. By reading the instructions it looks like there are different levels of assembly. We only had to screw on the part of the foot pedal where the foot rests, clamp in the seat, wheels, handle bars and accessories. It took less than an hour to get it all together. Once assembled it was ready to ride. It looked great under the tree.

Stabiliser snapped straight away

Very quick and easy to build up. Took my daughter out today for first time on it and stabiliser has snapped. Not happy as this was a Xmas present
