Just kind of cheap , and the chalk doesn’t seem to mark well . It reminds me of a dried up ink pen, when trying to use it . Sorry I really wanted to like this , and thought it would be so much easier then just using a stick of chalk . But for me it was not .

This is the first time I've used tailor's chalk, so maybe I don't know what I'm doing. (I have been sewing for 50+ years but I'm no expert). I bought this to help me cut down a T-shirt. The chalk doesn't trace on the material as easily as I thought. Once again, this is a new product, so I'm admitting I just may not know what I'm doing (or the T-shirt material is hard to work with). STILL, this is a good, long-standing company AND T-shirt material is hard to work with, so I would still recommend.

Ok but not really worth the cost

Easy to use but marks are not clear, and chalk does not last very long.

The tip isn’t precise, however I like it!

I have texture issues and absolutely despise touching chalk. This prevents me from having to have chalk on my hands and fingers. It comes with 3 colors: blue, gray, and white. The chalk is already loaded into the pen when you receive it. I included pictures to show instructions and what you will get in the package. As the chalk isn’t as narrow as a tailor’s triangle this will not deliver a thin line, but that really doesn’t bother me as I am a beginner seamstress.

Good price, quality good too.

My low rating may be my own shortcomings. I've used the chalk a number of times, and it does mark. I haven't figured out how to change the chalk from one color to another, so when I use the yellow and blue, I can't get it in the holder, so I've been using it without. If you are an experience sewist, you probably know how to change it and it's not an issue for you. If you are not, like me, you might have a harder time. This being said, the chalk does mark fabric, it's nice to have different colors and the quality of the chalk is good.

Nice colors, works well on many colors of background.

They will work for chalking my stencils but are a little thicker than I was needing. Price is fair and very usable

Doesn’t draw well on nylon spandex

Working on a project with nylon spandex fabric but I couldn’t get anything to show up. It was black fabric it was really annoying

I am a Quilter

I need to mark my designs on my quilts to follow when I am hand quilting. In the past I always used a disappearing marker but that does not show on dark fabrics so I thought this would work and it does very well. It is thicker than a chalk Fons pencil. I would like to be able to buy one that is the exact size of the regular chalk pencil that you sharpen but this one does work well in 89% of my stencils.

It's OK

It's OK for the price. I like that there's different colors of chalk. But changing the chalk colors when needed was not quite simple. They were hard to remove without breaking the chalk. It would be better if it came with refill chalk.

Good value

It works ok. It sometimes doesn’t seem to mark when being applied. It is definitely better than the “powder” version. I had originally purchased that version. Don’t bother. This one is decent.

Big let down

I use a lot of Dritz products for sewing and this is a low quality, waste of money. I should have just stuck with tailor's chalk but I thought this would be less messy. The chalk is very hard and doesn't easily make a mark and when I tried to extend it, it broke.
