Good 4-48 tap

Good tap. Labeled as HSS. Tapered with two flutes, bright HSS. Cuts fine. No country of origin on tap or package that I can see. Good deal for the price.

Good sharp tap

I got the 1/4"-20 tap and it was very sharp and strong. Just remember when tapping by hand, be sure to use tapping fluid and to back out your tap and clear out the chips as soon as you see or feel the tap itself starting to twist, and repeat until done, don't push the tap any farther than that or you risk it breaking it. I used this tap in 8 holes in 3/8 in thick steel of my 1,000 lb capacity garden wagon frame, and it was still sharp as new.

Broke in soft steel on first tap

While taps break, it sucks this one broke so quickly. If I had more than one to review I would either give it less or more stars, but since I can't properly test if it was just a fluke, I give it 3 stars.

Far more durable than other brand taps.

This tap held up and did not break when using. I had broke two other brand taps and this tap held up and did not break while using it on aluminum.

Very bad quality but price is high

Tap broken while making first thread on aluminum ????. Material is not strong . I bought other brand 5pieces set with less price works fine. This product useless.

Wrong size!!

The product description is wrong, it specifies a 10-24 tap. The shipped tap was a 10-32 as per the attached picture!!
