Very good, small space heater - shorter than I thought

This space heater does a B grade job of keeping a small area warm. However, you have to get used to its quirks in terms of how it heats and what angle to position it; for example, if you are more than approx. 2 feet away from it, instead of warm air, you feel cooler air, which is certainly NOT what you want in the middle of winter in a freezing house! You have to position it -or yourself- just right to actually feel the heat. However, once you figure it out, it does a B grade job of keeping you warm. I thought it was going to be taller than it actually is. Another thing I noticed is that the heating element never turns red; however, it emits heat. On the product web page and on the product box the heating element shows in red. On my other space heater, by another manufacturer, the heating element turns red.

Quality control

Received this today and immediately put it to use. Packaging was very good. The unit was clean and readily apparent that this was a new unit. (I say this because some reviews indicated returned units were received). Heats up quickly as advertised. Very quiet. Difficult to hear when standing next to unit. Simple controls. Heat distribution is excellent. This is not a desk top model but truly a room heater. This is the second unit I bought in a week. The first one was a competitor's unit which I bought because it was on a 40% sale and available the next day. I needed another heater for another room but did not repurchase the first brand because it was only a one day sale and the Dreo was now less expensive. I thought that unit was very good but this Dreo is superior with regard to heat distribution and size of room it covers. Will admit it is taller but that is why it heats a larger area. Additonally, the warranty is much better. Overall, I am happy I switched to the Dreo and would highly recommend this Dreo.

Very safe

The heater is very safe but it’s don’t get my room hot. Feel like it’s doesn’t bring out more heat. It’s good for a kid room. I like how easy you can turn it on and off and set the timer. Just not heating my main bedroom.

Good Seller/Delivery, Poor Product

5 stars for ease of purchase, product/package condition on arrival and for the item arriving on time. The product itself however, is a 2.5 star heater at best. The heater was used on and off for three months and has already had issues with the thermostat not switching the unit off and with the unit making a loud squeaking noise while it is oscillating. The heater is also made to seem as if it has bells and whistles but it really lacks even the most basic of functions. You can set a temp, but only when using eco mode and eco mode seems more designed for those who never want their unit to turn off. It generates a low amount of heat. Again, you can set the thermostat, but that has no control over the heat intensity. You do however have the option to turn the unit on max heat. This does well in reference to generating a good deal of heat to warm up a room. However, you can't use the thermostat when using high heat, so it's either on or off. The last heater I had was similar, minus the touch screen, but lasted for around three years, whereas this one can barely last three months. Another issue I (and other reviewers) have had was the awkward handle on the back. I have large hands but I still had to use two hands at times to move the unit to avoid it sliding out of my hand. The hand hold is designed with an upward angle towards the back (for some odd reason) which causes your hand to slip. If you're looking for a good quality heater, this brand/model isn't it.

Normally a Nice Quiet Heater but Oscillation is Noisy

Dreo 24” Solaris Max Tower Heater. I like the safety features it offers and the heat source is good for one closed room. I recently purchased this heater but I'm not sure if I should return it and re-purchase since I like most everything about it except the Oscillation Mode is too Noisy. I like the safety features it offers and the heat source is good for one closed room. When using the oscillation mode it makes an irritating noise. I'm not sure if that's normal or if we have a defective one. Too bad, because I thought this was a good little heater. The other thing that I think should be improved is the Remote Control which is difficult to distinguish the different buttons in the dark. The buttons are all close together so it’s difficult to figure out which one you want to press. I also have an Acouto 24" Tower Heater that is very similar to this Dreo but it costs slightly less than the Dreo and doesn’t have a Fan Only Mode. Both of these heaters are very quiet in the heat only mode; however the Acouto is much quieter when oscillating and the Remote has the buttons separated and slightly elevated making it easy to distinguish each button. The Acouto also has a heavier duty power cord than the Dreo. The main disadvantage I see of the Dreo is the noisy oscillation but the advantage is having a Fan Only Mode. Overall this is a very nice heater!

Powerful output in small package

I like that it's compact and powerful. Fairly large room gets warm quick. Remote makes very convenient especially in the middle of the night when I don't want to get out of bed to turn off. Very user friendly.

Only useful in a small space

A nicely designed heater but not enough power to heat 100 square feet in my cottage. The temperature in the cottage was 44’ F but after 1 1/2 hours this heater could only raise the temperature 1 degree.

Great Space Heater

I do not have central air or heating, so I depend on space heaters. The Dreo 24" Space Heater(s) keeps my home toasty warm! The warmth it emits is fabulous!!! I also like that you can control it with a remote. I would recommend this heater over and over!
