Fun bubble blower with some caveats

My 4 year old son got this as a gift and was thrilled with it. He likes bubble toys but also knows what a leaf blower is. At first he was very confused and asked me over and over again how it was going to blow the leaves in the yard with bubbles. Once it was set up he saw it was more like the wand style blowers we've had before. This blower is a good size for young kids and is easy to use with the trigger pull. It's better for blowing bubbles at things or in certain areas than the wand style that blows them more up in the air. Setup is minimal: you install batteries and make sure the bubble container is full and screwed in and you're ready to go. My kids come back to this again and again to play! Alas there are some downsides. It takes a while to prime so my kids will sometimes declare that it's "not working" when no bubbles come out for up to 30 seconds. If you get the end of the blower wet enough with bubble solution, the bubbles tend to stick to the blower rather than shooting out. You can fix this by drying off the end or letting the toy sit a while. The bubble container has to be saved for refills and doesn't screw in super securely. I imagine you could replace it with a standard size jar of bubbles but haven't tried yet. Sometimes it leaks bubble solution especially if the kids swing the blower around or use it at weird angles. Finally some bubble solution seems to get in the battery compartment and will eventually cause corrosion which can make the toy stop working. If this happens to you, take out the batteries, get some white vinegar and a qtip or paper towel, and carefully clean the battery contacts with the vinegar. The corrosion will fizz and come off and you can wipe it clean and let it dry before trying again. 9/10 times this will fix other dead toys and electronics with battery corrosion too. Leaf blower is cute but bubbles exploded in package and got bubble soap everywhere

My son loves the leaf blower. But when the package arrived the bubbles had exploded all over the package. In fairness, it was extremely cold outside (although we didn’t leave the package sit out there so ????????‍♀️). Bubbles are cheap to get so I’m not that worried about it but it was very messy.

Much smaller than anticipated

The pictures make this look like a decent sized toy but in actuality it’s pretty small. Would work well for a 2 - 3 year old but no older. It would be comically small for a larger toddler.

Neat toy but had to tape the battery door closed

Got this for my son. It is pretty cool and easy to use. Unfortunately when I put batteries in for the first time the piece on the inside of the casing that the screw threads into broke off. We can hear it rattling around inside, had to put tape over the battery door.

Works sporadically

Unfortunately it only works sporadically. We put in brand new batteries and it works on and off if you tap the bottom :( A child will not be able to work it.

Doesn't blow bubbles well

Looks Good, but Zero Bubbles

The motor runs the mechanism turns but it produces zero bubbles. No matter how much we tried, got nothing but air. I noticed many others had problems with this toy. It obviously needs a rethink.

I broke after a couple of uses.

This toy broke after a couple of uses. It makes the noise but will not produce bubbles. My window of return has passed. So bummed.
