Order one-two sizes larger than you think you need!
Only some of these are actually womens' rash guards. If it looks like a man's rash guard in the photo, it IS a man's rash guard. The tag says "mens". Even though I am pretty small/average for a woman (5'4", 125 lbs, waist ~29", bust 34") I originally ordered a medium after reading other peoples' reviews that said that these run small. I returned it for a large and it's pretty comfortable. But if you like how womens' shirts fit (roomier in the bust, shorter sleeves, etc...) you might want to keep shopping. All of this having been said, it works great as a rash guard- to provide a small amount of thermal insulation and to protect you from chaffing from BCD straps or your surf board/etc...

Another student recommended this shirt for exercise because it wicks sweat away ...
I bought this for Krav Maga, which starts with hot, sweaty exercise. Another student recommended this shirt for exercise because it wicks sweat away so well, and you don't have to worry about rash from the mats. Watch out for the sizing. I would imagine that used properly, these shirts would be like casing on a sausage. I usually wear a L, and ordered a 2XL. It fits great. It's just a little snug, but I am satisfied with the fit. The shirt itself seems well made. There is a little odor out of the package, but it's not overpowering and not an issue for me.

What about the fit?
What most people have mentioned or concerned about is the fit. It should fit like second skin with no looseness, it is stretchable material for this reason. Example: I am male 5"9" 170lbs. average build (no beer belly) I bought a medium and it does fit very snug. At first I thought a little too snug, but remember when you get in the water you will not feel this. I bought plus the Mares medium they both seem to have the same fit and quality. I will purchase a large next time to see if it is still a snug fit or not.

Someone said they fit like a t-shirt
I have not used the shirt yet, but wanted to alert buyers that these are not true to size. Someone said they fit like a t-shirt. They do not. I generally wear a Small athletic shirt and T-shirt. I even have some Xtra Smalls from the GAP. I ordered a Medium and it was super tight, felt like it was choking me. Exchanged it for a Large, which is still tight but will do. The shirt seems to be of good quality.

Very comfortable rashguard.
Awesome shirt. It is snug, but i know thats how they are supposed to fit and i'm not used to clothes fitting this form fitting. I can report back after a few wears and washes. I'm a thin guy. 6'1" 150# 32" board shorts and 30" jeans and cargo shorts. I wear mostly medium (sometimes small) Tshirts and got this in the large. If i bought it again, I'd probably go for an extra large probably more so because of lack of 6 pack insecurity lol, but the large was very comfortable to wear in the water and still lookedgood. I love the high collar!

Runs VERY small, even if following the size chart.
Runs very small. Even as a second skin. My husband is 5’6” and 145 pounds. I followed the size chart and bought him a size small. He could barely squeez into it. Once on, he couldnt move his arms and said it was hard to breath. I do plan on trying a bogger size. Not sure If I should try a size medium or large.

Looks nice
I use this to help keep me warm when I'm diving in cold water springs in Florida. It does keep my warmer, and takes away the shock of your chest hitting the cold water. Nice strong material. Only complaint is, I'm thin but muscular, and the arms are a little tight, so I have to roll them up. Other than that, it should be a good fit for any normal body type.

XXXL - sleeves are way too tight
It's not a bad product but I read all the other size reviews about the small fit. I'm 6-7, no beer gut and so ordered XXXL and while the body fit okay the sleeves were so tight I can't wear it. Like for a very skinny dude. Kind of weird for that size. So I had to return.

Good.....but go up a size!
Great - seems well made and stylish, feels like it will do what it's meant for, but.....order a size larger - I'm M&S medium, I ordered 'large' and it's skin-tight (which I guess it needs to be to work).

This is my second Cressi rashvest as I liked the first one so much
This is my second Cressi rashvest as I liked the first one so much. Ordered another colour which was in a slightly different material and proved to be closer but good fit. Still very pleased with this item.

Sizing nor consistent but quality and performance of shirt is good.
I'm only giving 3 stars as the shirts are about 2 sizes to small. I usually take a med/large in a top and have to order a xxl. I use the top for swimming 3-5 days per week and after about 4 months the top I was using gave way as all swimwear usually does after 4-6 months in chlorinated water. The next xxl I ordered was smaller than the first and I had lost 10 lbs! I find the size consistency is poor! I still love this top for swimming but I am now on my 3rd xxl and the third one was smaller again and I'm still losing weight.

Wife of an FtM transguy....
Bought this for my husband as he is a pre-open transguy and therefore has an issue with wearing traditional men's bathing suits. The only issue with this is how clingy the material is and how thin. Even when binding his chest everything shows more than it would in a tight t-shirt. Other than that the quality is nice but much like the other reviewers I definitely recommend going up a size. My husband is usually an XL so the 2X was a good fit.
