This is a very basic seat. Easy to install and does the job. It doesn't slow close, but it also doesn't say it does. To do again, I would spend a little more and purchase a ceramic seat or something just a bit more sturdier.

Not Same Product Ordered

The item shipped is NOT the item described here. It was NOT a Church toilet seat, It is a Bemis. It was NOT wood, it is plastic. The shipping tag on the box had Church only it one small place and was listed as a "new item". So, I assume it was a replacement. That said, we decided to keep it cause we needed it. It's the right size and seems to be a good product. But, this is the first time I've ever received a replacement item without any prior notification or approval required. Just thought folks should know that.

Church 170TL 000 Elongated Plastic Toilet Seat with Cover, White - So like, yeah... This type of seat reduces toilet plume by 80% just because of the cover being down when flushing. Awesome concept but public restrooms need open seat. (Yikes, find this out after seats installed at work). Blah, reorder... Ummm. Guess I will be pushing slightly used toilet seats as house warming presents for the near future (maybe). Or hey, farewell presents!

Should be OK.

Kinda difficult to find an oval plastic toilet seat at home supply stores for a reasonable price. This one is so much lighter and cleaner looking than the wood seat it is replacing.However, I am not sure how well plastic will last and keep clean. I am giving it three stars only because the durability is suspect - if it holds up ok, it should be good for 4 stars.

Cheap plastic but better than the seat that came with the toilet when it was brand new.
