Great tool for the value
I use cdi torque wrenches alot so I somewhat knew what to expect. They are solid sturdy and hold there calibration. Things to know is the on/off selector is backwards compared to most ratchets. I was disappointed when I got the wrench and saw the calibration it dosen't go all the way down to the low side. I have used 30 to 200 and 200 to 1000 so I thought this would be a nice bridge at 150 but the cal cert is 200 to 1000

A nice addition for the tool box
The selector for the forward/reverse ratchet is positive- but must be positioned fully to one side or the other (this has a wider swing from Fwd to Rev positions). It includes a center position in which there is no ratchet movement allowed, if one desires such a mode. The center button must be depressed to attach/release the socket- a very positive feature that prevents disengagement of the socket. Very easy to adjust and comes with a certification sheet. One disappointing feature is the scale engraving: it is laser etched- appears "light grey" and not of a highly contrasting color (e.g., black)! Adequate lighting may be required, depending on your eye sight. It is still a good buy- reliable and at a reasonable price.

Love it, wish I upgraded sooner
I had a decent wrench that I used for years. Then upgraded to a digital, but that only went up to 120 Nm so I picked this up as an upgrade without spending tool truck money. The click is satisfying and the torque is fairly easy to set. Some wrenches don't have a socket lock and I personally prefer the lock with button release which this has. Good buy!

Excellent 3/8" Torque Wrench Choice!
When I was looking to add a couple torque wrenches to my tool kit, I was a little concerned about this less-than-reviewed model. Turns out, there was nothing to be concerned about. As you're probably aware, shopping for a torque wrench, quality matters. CDI is kind of an off-shoot of the well recognized SnapOn brand, but at a comparatively less expensive price. This was the grade I was going for...somewhere in between a cheap tool (better than say, Craftsman) and less the professional mechanic option...and this one has fit the bill. When you start considering where torque wrenches begin and end in their capabilities, it's important to have a good range. It's also well known that torque wrenches are more accurate in the middle of their specified range, less so at the ends of the rated ranges. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so more than likely, you're looking at least two torque wrenches if you're going to work on a vehicle...the most common application for a torque wrench. For me, the two torque wrenches I settled on were a CDI 30-250 foot pound 1/2" drive 2503MFRPH and this CDI 10002MRPH. This unit gets me from around 12 foot pounds up to about 80 foot pounds, values commonly found on smaller bolts and nuts. The other wrench gets me upwards of 50 foot pounds up to a good 200 foot pounds, used for larger nuts, lug nuts and bolts. I've found that they compliment each other quite well and really don't have anything that I haven't been able to torque with the ranges these two wrenches provide. As far as accuracy, I don't have any professional testing equipment or anything...but it feels about right to me. I've torqued plenty of bolts that hold liquids and haven't had leaks or strips, as well as precision torquing on things like hubs without issue. So I guess that's what really matters...results, right? Some people might find it a pain to convert to inch pounds, when most everything is stated in foot pounds...but I convert it once, write it down in my maintenance manual and never have to figure it out again. My certification sticker was about 6 months old when I purchased, so I imagine it sat on a shelf for awhile...but six months wasn't going to bother me. It's held up for more than a year with good care and I don't see any problems in the future, aside from maybe a recalibration every once in awhile. Overall, I think this is a good choice for a value priced, low to medium strength torque wrench. If you're looking to fill out that lower range, don't overlook this model. Edit: I also added the 1/4" drive 20-150 in/lb to my tool kit as well. When I acquired my ATV, I needed some lighter torque, so this was a perfect driver for this application. I was glad to see these CDI wrenches still being sold! My wrenches have held up for many years now, too!

Very nice torque wrench for not the tool truck price
This is a very nice torque wrench for the money, without having to pay tool truck price. The only real knock on it is that the handle is plastic, not metal. Other then that, it’s easy to read and use.

Great tool for a great price
I bought it for engine and suspension work and it has such a wide torque range it works for both well. Glad to have it in my tool box.

the minus 1 is for amazon more than the tool itself
My main problem with this tool is it being labeled as 'Snap-on Industrial Brand CDI'. I guess it's like Cisco buying Linksys and then changing the description of items to say Cisco. All labeling is 'CDI Torque Products' on the case, literature, calibration certificate and tool itself. I'll upload photos that may make it more clear that you are not buying a snap on torque wrench for less than $150. Why pay for snap-on when 'Snap-on Industrial Brand CDI' is just as good? 'Snap-on' are supposedly guaranteed for life. I suppose they might qualify this more delicate tool as an instrument and not a hand tool and give it a shorter warranty period?? Anyway the manual that came with it says one year...though amazon says for 'the usable life of the product'. I suppose that could mean that once it's broken it's usable life is over! It's a nice torque wrench so I'm done complaining. I suppose I should have researched more fully before buying it, but amazon makes it awfully easy to buy things quickly!! In the end its worth what I paid for it. I didn't have a problem with the way it breaks when you reach specified torque, as another reviewer mentioned. Maybe because I read that review I was expecting it? I may end up buying another CDI Torque Products torque wrench in higher torque range but I'll feel less like I'm getting a great deal than I did when I clicked on this one. Buy it, but buy it knowing that it's a tool made by a company that some holding company that also owns snap-on owns.

Great quality torque wrench!
Everything is great except the wrench is a bit too long to fit in the case when the setting is backed down to zero. A couple turns in and it fits fine. The quality of the tool itself it awesome for this price. Settings are easy to change and lock in and the scale is also very easy to read compared to others I have used in the past.

Great wrench from the makers of SnapOn
Great quality wrench. Comes with certificate of calibration and protective case. You can really tell the quality difference compared to lower end wrenches.
