It’s okay

The product overall is okay. My dog likes it as an alternative to drinking water while in his kennel. When you first fill it with water it does leak(drops). After my dog drinks from it, the leaking stops. Chew proof is okay. It is metal so my dog doesn’t bite it, however it is a soft metal not tough. Cleaning is like cleaning a baby bottle. You need a bottle scrub and straw scrub to properly clean it.

Sturdy bottle, great capacity, but loud and some dripping.

Holds lots of water, flows easily, worked well for my rabbits. I love being able to change the water less often because of how big it is. The only downside is that it's very loud when used, you hear the metal tapping on metal. If your animals are in the same room with you at night it's going to wake you for sure. It does drip a little bit (even when I fill it all the way and close tightly). I didn't find this troublesome, I keep a towel under it. But good to know if you have wood floors or something similar.

Doesn't leak...at first...but then...

Loved this when I received it but less than a month in it started leaking and I tried everything but it is a constant drip from around the lid as well as from the drink tip. Tried filling all the way and squeezing out excess water before putting on the lid but it did not stop either leak. The one wire clip is awkward to use to affix to the outside of the cage also. Adding this to the pile of useless water bottles I have purchased for my ferret.

Only water bottle that does not leak!

These are the only water bottle I have used that does not leak! I have tried plenty of other brands and they all leaked. I highly recommend this water bottle for Guinea pigs!

The design is a little weird but it doesn't leak. That's all I care about. My rats are able to get water out of it just fine. Very happy with this purchase. CORRECTION, THE FIRST DAY IT DIDN'T LEAK AND I WAS SO EXCITED. IT HAS BEEN LEAKING EVERYDAY SINCE AND I CAN'T GET IT TO STOP. IT IS A CONSTANT DRIP. NOW I'M SAD.

Great replacement for the impossible to clean rodent water bottles!!

This is a great bottle and super easy to clean! The opaque plastic makes it hard to see where the water is, but that's a non-issue. The "spout" portion does drip from time to time if the balls inside the straw are not perfectly seated. This has caused several gross puddle in the straw the our guinea pigs eat.

Missing gasket, otherwise good so far

Can not return. Bought 3 and one came without gasket so is useless until I make my own gasket. Went by instructions and both good bottles dont seem to leak much. I use 32oz bottles mounted to 1/2 inch wire mesh and tube is a little short but will suffice. Water flow seems a little slow and extra effort for rabbits. Rating loss because I have no way of getting defective bottle replaced or new gasket through website.

The first actually leakproof bottle I’ve found

The first actually leakproof bottle I’ve found. Our skinny pigs seem to drink a lot more water from this one vs the glass ones we have. Follow the instructions and fill the bottle to the top to eliminate drips. Sturdy plastic bottle. Easy to clean with the wide mouth too. I’d buy this again.

Leaking bottle

This Lixit WIDE Mouth BPA-Free Water Bottle is LEAKING. This is the worst water bottle I purchased for my guinea pigs in 12 years. It might be this particular bottle, as I've used Lixit in the past and never had any issues. The WIDE mouth is definitely NOT for guinea pigs. The worst part is that I cannot even return the item. Lixit website is "under construction"

Wasted money!!!

The media could not be loaded. You cannot return this DEFECTIVE product described with the intent to mislead customers. The bottle is leaking, although it is stated to be leak proof. I would never order this product in case that I read well what is written for return policy.

Leaked

After a few days of Guinea Pigs drinking out of it it started to leak. Also, metal holder will stretch and then break if stretches at all so I’d cage bars are close together, this product will be loose and fall.
