Found my keys!!!

I dropped my keys in my attic while installing fiberglass batt insulation. After panicking when I realized I had lost the only copies of a few important keys, I purchased this detector to find them. After a couple of evenings of searching, I found them!!! This is a decent, functional, and inexpensive unit that served my needs. There are better, more feature rich options available, but they do cost considerably more. For my needs, this was the perfect price/performance point. Pros: - It beeps when metal is near.... yay! Cons: - It requires 2 9V batteries. Running this detector regularly as a hobby would get expensive. - The 'type of metal' and depth indicators weren't accurate

I bought this so my little niece and I could go treasure hunting. It works well, though isn't very spot on about what kind of metal it is detecting or the depth of the metal in the ground. I haven't found anything particularly valuable... Yet. We went to a beach along the river because sand is so much easier to dig in than regular soil and mostly we found a bunch of discarded pieces of aluminum foil, which I convinced my niece were the remnants of a pirate's burrito wrapper, so at least she thought we found a treasure.

Goes beyond expectations

I bought this as a gift for my husband's birthday. He had been wanting a metal detector for a long time, but thought that the "good ones" were out of his price range. I took a risk on this one and he LOVES it. He has found things more than 12" below ground. The metal content on the display seems to be accurate. Just last week he dug up a cast iron pot that looks to date back to the Civil War era. We live in an area rich on history, so we're sure to find more! This detector has gone way beyond our expectations for the price. We are going to purchase the gold adapter very soon. I would recommend this product to any beginner that would like a detector in a modest price range.

Great Entry Level Metal Detector

Bought this for my 10 year old son and he loves it. Its very light so easily usable for children, but has some bells and whistles for them as they get more into it. I find myself borrowing it from my son and using it as well. Very sturdy, have used it in a few inches of water works well. Buried different metals in the sand to test it and it works well at a foot deep or so. Overall very good starter detector for child as well as adult

Good Quality, great shipping, Not so great detective?

I haven't had any luck with this as of yet. I think it works fine, I was happy with the bang for my buck. I believe it's very nice quality. I don't know if it's just me or what but I haven't found anything yet. It beeps as if there is something but I never find anything. Maybe it's the settings and Im just not setting it properly. I've read the manual and tried to set it accordingly but no luck yet. I'm not giving up tho!! I was very pleased with the shipping, it was right on the money.

Wouldn't recommend this for kids

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday. We have a cheap one that we got from my Dad that is quite a few years old and that works better than this one. I made the mistake of thinking a higher price meant better quality. Too complicated for my 7 year old and even my husband had trouble figuring what settings to put it on. Wouldn't even detect a coin right underneath it.

GREAT PRODUCT FROM GREAT SELLER

As soon as item came we had to put it together not hard at all, once it was together read booklet as to how it worked and what sound beep to look for then we were off. OHHH two 9Volt batteries required no big deal. We were off on our mission to the new back yard we found a beer cap and tin from an old can lol also a cap of some sort still not sure as to what this is we scrubed it investigating the find and keep on looking it is great fun as a couple.

Der Langzeittest

Ich habe das Gerät im Januar gekauft und bin seitdem mehrere Runden mit dem Bounty Hunter unterwegs gewesen. In Verbindung mit einem Headset (ich habe ganz normale Handykopfhörer angeschlossen) lassen sich die Signale direkt hören anstatt das laute Piepen über den "Lautsprechern" ausgeben zu lassen. Das hat den Vorteil, dass ggf. andere Personen nicht gestört werden und man sich weniger Aufmerksamkeit dieser bezieht. Der Bounty Hunter findet Metalle in einer ordentlichen und vor allem ausreichenden Tiefe. Mein Fundus beschränkt sich jedoch (was auch der Gegend geschuldet ist) auf viel Altmetallschrott, ein paar DM- & Euromünzen sowie auf vier relativ hübschen Ringen. Alleine dafür hat sich die Anschaffung schon gelohnt :). Es ist auch jedes mal auf's neue ein Abenteuer, von daher kann ich das Gerät nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Wer suchet, der findet. Ganz einfach.

nach langer Recherche im Internet und auch in diversen Foren zum Thema Metalldetektor habe ich mich für den Bounty Hunter entschieden. Was soll ich sagen? Es ist genau das, was ich in der Preisklasse erwartet habe. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Einfach aufgebaut und doch sehr stabil. Ich brauche kein Studium der Technik oder Physik um den kleinen Pieper zusammen zu bauen. Der Discovery 1100 macht was er soll. Im Garten beim Nachbarn, er vermisste seit einigen Tagen sein Zippo, nach echt kurzer Suche hab ich es dann auch gefunden, dazu noch ein Ohrring seiner Frau, von dem beide gar nicht wussten, dass er vermisst wird. Die Einstellung der Möglichkeiten, z. B. ich möchte Kronenkorken oder Aludosen nicht finden, gestaltet sich ein wenig Aufwendig, doch das war klar, hab ich so in diversen Foren gelesen. Wer für kleines Geld eine Möglichkeit sucht, verlorene Dinge im Garten oder auf dem Parkplatz wieder zu finden, der ist mit dem Discovery 1100 absolut gut bedient. Wer Schätze aus dem Mittelalter oder aus den vielen Schlachten der letzten Jahrhunderte sucht, kann damit Erfolg haben, doch damit ist der kleine vermutlich erst mal überfordert. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für Sondelgänger und angehende Schatzsucher, die erst einmal probieren wollen, ob ihnen das Hobby liegt. 5 Sterne ist daher nicht übertrieben, da ich keinen Möglichkeit gefunden habe, objektiv betrachtet, hier etwas im Abzug zu bringen.

Würde ich wieder kaufen!

Top Teil für mich als Anfänger gewesen! Viel mit gefunden und leicht zu bedienen (alte Ringe, Nägel, Schlösser, (ca. 2500Jahre alte Äxte, jetzt in LWL Hand, viel Müll und vieles mehr)) :O)) Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen! Bin nicht mit ihm Tauche gegangen aber bei Regen war alles dicht. Habe ihn jetzt ja schon einige Jahre und er findet was er soll :O))

Nach jahrelanger Benutzung ist die Batterie einmal leer geworden es funktioniert sehr gut ist kein Profi Teil aber für den normalen Gebrauch sehr gut zu benutzen
